All I have to say is this is the FIRST year ever I am able to attend Broadway Under the Stars. And I've missed him singing some killer songs. I am praying that he will be performing this year. I'd really love it if he sang a duet with Michael, but I'm willing to take whatever I can get.
Plus, it's been AGES since I've seen Raul. It's been way too long.

Michael and Raul singing together?
I think a little part of me would die.
Ooh. Oooooooh. I would like.

Girly swoon factor aside, I think their voices would actually blend together quite nicely.
Raul and Marc Kudisch did a duet together last summer, and it fit really well because Marc's voice is so smooth and "classical" compared to Raul's rock(ish) vibrato and all that. The duet was hardly rock or anything like that that Raul's voice can handle, but he still has that quality, and whatnot, so they blended really beautifully together. Michael's voice has that same very smoothe quality to it, so though he sounds completely different and less operatic, I think it would create the same fantastic impact.
Ooh, I agree that the idea of a Raul and Michael duet is awesome.

Em, do you really think that Raul has a rockish vibrato? He certainly has a unique vibrato, but I'm not sure that I really associate it with rock. I think you'd be kind of hard pressed to find a rock singer that possesses the same timbre that Raul's vibrato does. Of course, you probably know a lot more than I do considering you've been exposed to a much wider body of Raul's work.
I was looking at some of Michael's Hedwig photos again, and that man looks hotter as a woman.
Actually, I think that Michael has a more traditional rock voice than Raul does.

They each have great qualities that I adore. Raul's blend of velvet and sandpaper is like hands all over your body, and Michael's deep and proper richness is so soothing. Mmmmmm.
I'm listening to my Raul playlist right now. His voice almost instantly makes me feel better.
Soothing is the word I think of when describing Raúl's voice. Updated On: 5/30/06 at 04:26 PM
Soothing? Well, sometimes. It depends on the song I think. Raúl's voice makes me excited when I'm listening... it's full of energy. I can't fall asleep if I have my Raúl playlist on.

I wish I could go to Broadway Under the Stars! dammit..
I would describe Raul's speaking voice as soothing, but his singing voice is more..rock? I'm not sure how to exactly describe it..it just makes me happy
Picture post, just 'cause.
