It makes me wish Adam had time to do concerts with the Loser's Lounge. Last year they did a tribute to Queen and it was so, so much fun. Michael sang a song called Dragon Attack and he wore a black flowy skirt and combat boots that came up to the knee. I've never seen him look so good....
That sounds fun! Are there pictures?

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a one. Not even on his website, and that place has everything!

"Philip Sallon flew into New York on his broomstick." That sentence was by far my favorite in the whole book. I could just picture Raul on a broomstick, wearing a white wedding dress.
Oh, I miss Raul. I didn't realize how spoiled I'd become, what with being able to see him in a Broadway show anytime I wanted. I hope he doesn't stay away too long.
Just dropping in to say I've booked my hotel for Cincinnati. Yay!! It was pretty cheap and I'm driving, so this'll cost me less than $150 for two nights at the hotel and 2 tickets to the show. That's not bad at all. It's like a mini-break. I can't wait!!
I got my replacement tickets in the mail today! I saw the little "Playhouse!" picture in the return address space and I started grinning like a fool. Yay! And I was listening to Chess, so that made it even better!
I know absolutely nothing about the musical Barnum, but I love the clip of Raul singing "There Is A Sucker Born Ev'ry Minute" that was on his site. He sounds so evil, it's great. I love that he performs songs instead of just singing them.
I need to call my uncle and find out where our seats for Company are, because right now I have no idea. I think I'm done with the month of February-- bring on March!
I loved seeing him sing that song. It was so "I'm evil BUT I LOVE IT."
Ooh, cool that you got to see it. He sounds gleefully evil, and like he's having an awesome time.
He was dancing a little, too. I melted. A lot. I mean, it WAS like 100 degrees, but still.
I have to talk to my mom about a hotel. I think she has it under control, but I should bring it up. I'm pretty sure the tickets have already arrived at mi casa.

So jealous of you folks! I'm just going to continue telling myself that I'm not missing such a grand event....
I listened to Raul's ATW radio interview for the first time tonight. I started weeping when he was talking about ttB and you could actually *hear* him choke up. It was so sad. The things he said about that song. I'm sure most of you have already heard that interview, but if you haven't, it is one that should NOT be missed.
Oh my gosh, I LOVE that interview. Probably a little too much.... but it's amazing. He's amazing. I especially love the part where he talks about TTB and gets really emotional about it.
*bump*
I have a favor to ask of you guys. By no means feel obligated to do it, but I am writing a paper about how AIDS has effected theatre and the theatre community, and I was wondering if those of you who have seen or read any AIDS related plays (TNH, AiA, etc.) would be willing to tell me in a few sentences or so how (or if) the experience was different than other theatre experiences, and how it/ they effected you. If you could pm me or IM me, that would be fantastic. Thanks.
I sent something, Elphie, but I don't know how helpful it is.
It's great, thanks!
That sounds like a really great and interesting topic! Can I send it to you in the morning or do you need it tonight?
In the morning's fine.
When do you leave?

I miss you guys! Ever since I started working I haven't had much free time at all! I love my job, though. I'm working at Beauty and the Beast. But I miss all of the Raul love in my life!

I'm having a bitch of a time deciding what to do this summer. There are so many things I want/need to do. I just don't know how to choose. One option I have is doing an apprenticeship with an Equity Summer Stock theatre. I could start earning weeks towards my Equity card. Obviously, this has major appeal. But I need to take summer classes, and I also wanted to do an intinsive language program with my voice teacher this summer.
Sometimes I hate making decisions.

*huggles Raul* I swear I will pay more attention to this man when I am done with my "Wow I'm meeting Anthony" phase and move on to the "OMG I'm seeing Company" mindset.
Now that I've met Anthony, I'm on my "OMG I'm seeing Company mindset". I still can't believe that it worked out!
