The cd signing was amazing!!! Funny part is, I have no memory of Mano that night. I was so thrilled at having met Sondheim, that I just kept walking, and missed everyone else.
eta: meaning, I got their autographs, but didn't talk to anyone else.

Posted: 3/26/06 at 12:27amHe came out speaking spanish to someone. It was surreal, I almost forgot where I was. I would have stopped him, but he looked like he was in a rush. But yes, I heard him speaking spanish. It was amazing.

(ETA -- American by birth, though. He was born in the States. His parents came here form Cuba, though. English is apparently his second language.)

A friend of mine said something to him in French. hehe. But Mano responded in English.
He DID try to speak a little Spanish once. At times, I'd completely forget myself, and speak Spanish, cause my sister was there. And I'm SO not used to speaking to her in English. So I'd talk to her in Spanish, and then had to apologize to Mano.
So he tried to speak Spanish. But he's not fluent. lol

lol. Skipping study time to go see a show is completely understandable...
Mano's fluent in French, and Portuguese. But not Spanish. He knows some words, though. But he'd just give me a weird look whenever I spoke in Spanish.
His do not disturb sign is in Spanish, though. He got a kick out of showing me that. lol.
