Has anyone heard of this? I found it recently and think that it is brilliant. It is the theory that all Pixar movies to date (A Bug’s Life, Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, Wall-E, Up, Toy Story 3, Cars 2, Brave, Monsters University) all take place in the same time arc. This starts with Brave in the ancient ages of Scotland and ends with Monsters Inc./Monsters University. The theory is flawed at some points, but I really think it is creative and brilliant and wanted to share it here.

I will link the original theory, a YouTube video that explains it very well, and a FAQ video.

Yeah there was a thread on it a while back when it first surfaced, it is cool though.

Is there already a thread? I searched and didn't find anything.

Couldn't you say that about every single group of films ever? All Mel Brooks films take place during the same "time arc" starting with history of the world and ending with Life Stinks (set in 19991).

I love that theory, but I always think interlocking theories like that owe a debt to the brilliant (and exhaustive) Tommy Westphall Universe.

Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.
