Jeremy definitely looks a BIT different now. So. beautiful. GUH.
The German stuff makes me giggle, but it's amazing as well.
Do you get to travel a lot? (That's open to everyone. I'm a travel-foodie-shopping FIEND>)

constantly traveling - and recently HATING to fly..
not really the flying even -it's the airport thing... UGH
What was your bad airport experience? (I work at the airport so I can sympathize and empathize.)

don't have one...
stopped flying after (you know...)
did all of Lion King by truck (bought a great truck for the occasion)
so far, when I've HAD to fly it's been sorta okay - but only because I'm smart and travel alot anyway...
I love "pajamas" and most of the clothes I wear are loose - without zippers and things that ring - I'm ALWAYS in open back shoes - and years of traveling have prepared me in ways that other may not be ---
but - it's still like HOURS longer than it used to be and just so much TENSION - who needs it? If the trip is 8 hrs or less... I'm driving
What was Lion King like? (in terms of the touring, the lifestyle, opening to different audiences all the time...) I'm hoping to see it in Seattle next month - it's there for I think a month and a half or something. (Didn't the driving get old after a while?)
My mom's airline company has been horrible to her
she was furlowed for almost three years and has been forced to go back full-time
The only reason I'm still up is cuz I'm waiting for her to come home

I love touring normally - it's just harder when you have a family..
LK was GREAT!!! first of all, we were a sitting tour (meaning we would spend 2 to 3 months in the same city) so you had a good opportunity to get a routine going.
It's such a huge show that we had 3 days between cities (instead of 1 which is usual) so driving was ideal... plenty of time to pack my stuff (and I travel with EVERYTHING) and travel under my own steam.
audiences?
not much dif - they came to see LION KING - ya know? It's rep preceeded it to the point that it probably wouldnt have matter who was doing the roles.... but I have to admit I'm spoiled.. I LOVE doing sold out hits
did you have to learn puppetry for the show? what was that like?
does the tour do the "grass", I thought that was so awesome when I saw in 5 years ago
What were your fave places to visit? It must've been tough on Mr. Browne and kids! I can't believe the stamina a lot of those tour actors have! A few of those cities are back to back performances for one day only, etc.
Edit: "Do the grass"? Dude, I don't think she'd gonna admit that on a public forum!

So were there any big changes in Lion King from the Bway production to the tour? Like, I know in Thoroughly Modern Millie they took out the elevator, which sorta bummed me out. I've seen the tour of both of these shows, but neither on Broadway.

the only major difference is the lack of elevators in the stage floor.... pride rock swoops in from the side and the grass comes in from the side. all of the costumes/stagings are the same.

the biggest change was PRIDE ROCK. Naturally, we couldn't go around digging 30 foot elevators into every stage we played... so an "accordian" like version of Pride Rock was built for the tour.
I called her "Miss Rock" cause she was QUITE the Diva!!! If anybody could miss a cue (more than ONCE) and get away with it... it was her!

FLORIDA!!!! WHOOO -HOOOO for the entire 02/03 Winter!! YES! why? BECAUSE I HATE SNOW AND COLD WEATHER!!!! It was sweet....
* A few of those cities are back to back performances for one day only, etc.
not on our tour (thank God!)
*did you have to learn puppetry for the show? what was that like?
Rafiki only handles one puppet and that's "Baby Simba" or "Stiffy" as we liked to call him. Not too bad - except the levers that work his head and limbs could be difficult to manuver with the Rafiki fingers on.... (ohhhhh that MISERABLE - but extremely effective costume)
*does the tour do the "grass", I thought that was so awesome when I saw in 5 years ago
Yes they "do the grass" - as in a dance (not a toke )
ps - where is this "refresh" button everyone keeps talking about...?

that made salsa come out my nose.
a new kind of pain, to say the least.

in honor of the death of bohemia, an impromptu salon will commence immediately following dinner...
mimi marquez, clad only in bubble wrap, will perform her famous lawn chair-handcuff dance to the sounds of ICED TEA BEING STIRRED.
ok, it's ending here, cause ^^that's the best part of the song, and i COULDN'T just let it end there...
fredi, forgive us, but i'm sure this'll make you laugh
