Yep, it was. The funny thing was that about a week and a half after I did it, the casting guys called me again to ask if I'd like to play a corpse on the show. I had to tell him I'd just been dead, so I probably couldn't be dead the week after. He just said "Oh. OK. Well, we'll get you next time!"

Fredi, how many times have you seen Rent? They have changed things, like adding the handcuff dance, Maureen's outfit and such.

yeah almost went into law (at Columbia...)
was tired of school (and loans) and all I really wanted was to take the bar exam - and I found out you can do that without law school. I was always a test freak... just for the sake of it... I guess that comes from being a teacher's daughter (and grand-daughter, and niece, and cousin.....)
coming up for me? Who knows.... always doing commercials and I mentioned eariler that I'm trying to land my own film deals (see earlier pages...) and just being a working actor - which a lot of the time means not working
maybe they were actor flubs and not actual changes?
No, I've also heard those changes in the show.
aww that shouldn't have stopped you! the guy who "killed" stephanie march's character (the DA) on SVU was on CI like, one or two weeks later playing ANOTHER drug pusher! it's an incestuous family up in there!
yeah almost went into law (at Columbia...)
YAY COLUMBIA!!!

re: the lines that were changed...
yup - first I'm hearing of it... It's not like that ask my opinion ya know..?
I have not seen RENT that many times... again - it's difficult for me... toooooooooooooo many feelings.
No, I've seen RENT so many times I've actually lost count and it's been that way for as long as I can remember, so it wasn't just a f*ck up.
Whoa, you can write the bar exam w/o getting the degree? But do you still qualify as being a legit lawyer? (this could save me tens of thousands of $$ for law school if you're right!)
I think that changing "...will stay" to "...and Mr. Grey" had something to do with people not realizing who Mr. Grey was.

yes shubert...
play dead as often as they ask you...
first of all - it's a check with never ending resids cause that show airs 14 times a day on a zillion different channels and every $18 counts ya know..?
Second, they are VERY LOYAL at L&O and they use the same people over and over and over... If they like you - build on that!!!

The enemy of Avenue A was changed around the time that Cristina Fadale returned to the Broadway cast. The Rhythm Power Feeling one was long before that. No idea why.
I totally would have done it again, but he told me they couldn't use me twice after he realized I'd already shot an episode. I don't know if I get residuals, actually - I wasn't credited. The only time I got residuals was for a commercial I did. Don't you only get them if you're credited?

I believe it, from what I hear it's wierd for a lot of people (particularly OBCers) to go back and see the show after leaving.
Question: Why were there costume changes made when you moved to broadway? Did you have any outfits of any characters that you really liked? And why does the actress who play Mark's Mom have two tshirt styles- one that says 'Pocket Tease' and one 'Rocket Team'?

bar without school...
if i'm not mistaken - yes you would be a legit lawyer...
tons of independent study and it's frowned upon but it is doable....
check it out and let me know... I still think about doing it
"The only time I got residuals was for a commercial I did. Don't you only get them if you're credited?"
Yes, I believe so.
Daaaamn. They should credit the dead bodies! I had a name and everything! And don't ask me why I was a 35 year old single mother, when the headshot they showed was obviously not that of a 35 year old's.

you get them if you are a "principal" or "under-five"
I don't know if the corpses qualify... they might be extras...
and you're right - they will rotate you on a 6 month or 1 year basis.... but great that they liked you!!!
is that avatar your Headshot? if so, you've got a great look
(if that's somebody famous that I don't know - don't laugh too hard.. I never did pay much attention to celebs - they're already rich and they ain't payin' my rent, dig?)
Yes, that's me :)
Which episodes of L&O did you do?
This is me in my avatar. Good look or no?
Will def check into this bar exam thing. I know w/ my degree, even though it's in Canada, I can still practice in NY and MA, but I don't know about *having* to get my degree.

Sorry, Fredi, gotta correct you on the bar exam thing. My dad's a lawyer and I'm positive that you need to have graduated from law school in order to take the bar exam. What you may be thinking of is one stipulation where you can do a combination of law school and law office study and not have totally finished yet. Other than that you need to graduate from an accredited Law School, or get approval for an unaccredited one or foreign study. This is for the NY bar and I would imagine that most other states are similar in their requirements. Don't be a lawyer, it's a long and relatively thankless task. :)

honestly guys...
it's pointless to ask me about the changes... I was up there doing my job - I have NO IDEA why the creative team chose to do the things they did (and are still doing..)
Costume wise - the downtown costumes were borrowed from us, and anybody who had the right kind of stuff... when we moved uptown the designer was able to realize her vision completly and I, for one, was thrilled! I LOVE that leather and mud-cloth 3/4 length diva jacket that I still own - ahahahahahahahahaha (don't wear it much but will never part with it...)
So you do,eh, erinrebecca? *sigh* thanks for ruining that one little bubble for me. i'm pretty sure if this is the case for NY, it's the same everywhere (after all, it's the American Bar Association).
oh well, still looking forward to law school - just not the tuition! (what type of law does your dad do?)
