i thought we were going with
TAKE ME MO' FO'S!
yeah!
I cry every time I hear the Aida finale...which is about...five or six times a day for the last week. My parents are about ready to kill me.
It's weird, because it never made me cry until I saw it, and now it ALWAYS does.
I won't even get into how much I cried WHEN I saw it...you guys have heard that story too many times...
maybe for my state school apps.
but northwestern...nah
it was so emotional for us that the night we blocked the act one finale we were all in tears.. We even had the people that never cry in tears.. it's a great show as long as it's done right, but also very easy to screw up. (we wont mention my extreme dislike for our costumes either, that was enough to make me want to quite the show Tech week)
BST pm me and I will have a look

NTG - did you really call M****t* the Scottish play? What's up with that, anyway?
anyone who is willing to quickly read my conclusion and tell me what they think, PM me.
cam- i didn't see what you said until i posted this.
No, we really didn't. But people freak out if I don't on this board, so I do

cam - you know you're a closet actor - just go get your headshots and move to the city already!

YAY for my Mo Fo line
It's easy to imagine the emotion and blocking once you have seen the show.. you form an emotional reaction to it.. I have the same thing happen..
Agreed. I can see how that would be a really hard play to pull off. I don't even want to think about it. It makes my head hurt

"the Scottish Play" one of many theatrical superstitions...
not exactly certain of the "real story" behind it...
it think people died in early productions?
anybody know - how would you google that?
'I liked it, Glory!
And don't you DARE call me a teenybopper with crappy taste.
I thought it had beautiful music and it made me cry. Would I see it twice? Probably not. But I did NOT think it was as crappy as people are saying. '
Sorry sorry just going by the majority opinion of the posts on BWW that I've seen... I've never seen or heard it so I guess I take that back..

Fredi--yes, people died in early, as well as current productions of it. Weird things always seem to happen when it's produced. It's said to be "cursed."
None of us believed in it until our second night show...

ntg - that's what i thought...
i know the story behind some of the other superstitions...
i try not to mess with any of them - just in case....
There was a benefit concert in the theatre next door. All well and good.
Halfway through the "tomorrow" speech, the fire alarm starts going off.
600 people evacuate the building IN THE RAIN and stand around waiting for the fire department to come and clear the building.
Building turns out to be fine.
They could not, however, get the alarm to turn off JUST IN OUR THEATRE.
