I've gotta tell you, I'm the most insecure self-conscious person when it comes to my appearance, but I'm truly vain about my lips. I don't wear much makeup (just concealer for the occasional zit) but I spend LOADS of money on my lip products. Which is dumb because after a year they're dried up and unusable, but I still waste so much money buying pretty colors in different varieties.

i really don't buy makeup unless i know i'm gonna use it. i don't wear too much either, usually just some mascara, eyeliner, and concealer as needed.
i only use chapstick. i have the worst chapped lips in the WORLD and its the only thing that works.

me too cam...
i have TONS of MAC but hardly ever wear makeup at all..
it's better for your skin anyway (not wearing it daily)
i only use it for auditions (on camera) and "special" occasions...
but hubby hates lipstick and won't kiss me when i wear it -- all the better cause i hate being bothered most of the time..
and the same with hair - THANK GOD FOR DREADLOCKS which are NEVER combed!!!!

Bso, it's not wrong but some people take it too far.
I won't even look at that thread again, not worth it.
Love lip stuff- Tiff, try mixing some shimmery eyeshadow with chapstick sometime. It adds an intersting sheen and tint. I have this light purple cream stuff that I add in... I'm vain in general.

NO, IT'S NOT! i like them BOTH from a distance, meaning i don't pounce on every wicked/idina thread like most fans. i'm as excited as the next person to see wicked (2 days at midnight!!!!!!!!!!!), and would jump at the chance to meet her, but i don't obsess. and i respect her private life.

I only wear it for myself these days. If I feel like it, there is no obligation to try and impress anyone in my mind.. it all goes back to "take me or leave me" this is who I am.. Maybe thats why I'm single? haha

nia - great idea with the gloss - i love mixing makeup..
it's the closest i get to being a painter.. actually have a knack for it..
my locks are 9 years longer than the publicity pics for rent...
but basically the same - black (w/ a "smidge" of grey...) thick and healthy - YAY!!!
and cam - the take me for what i am philosophy will only make you stronger... and you will be single until you are not - take it from one who knows....
there will be many men attracted to you - and the will love you and hate you for the exact same qualities... but - as i said before - YOU DON'T LOWER YOUR STANDARDS - NEVER!!!
in the end - it's only you and your higher power... NO ONE can handle that responsibility for you
NO ONE can look in the mirror for you and make you happy with yourself
these are things you must achieve before, after and even during your relationships with others...
the first and last relationship you will ever have IS WITH YOURSELF!!! (and your Higher Power natch...)

i DON'T paint - wish i could...
i've been blessed with many talents but drawing and painting are not among them...
i DO paint faces (makeup) and i'm PDG at it..
can even do some FX stuff (basic)
great fun - always enjoyed makeup and hair...

I totally agree Fredi.. My family tries to tell me I'm a failure because I'm not married with kids at this point in my life, but screw them.. I'm ok with it.. I learned a long time ago that the ONLY person who will ALWAYS be there for me from the moment I'm born till the day I die is me.. In a way that is saddening but oh so very liberating.. People will come and go from my life, but I will be my one constent..
