I've heard that one about the icicle, melting etc. (Wasn't that in an Encyclopedia Brown?) I don't think it's flawless though, because your skin cells or follicles will still be in trace amounts in the water even after its melted. Or if you wear gloves, there will still be bits of leather or fabric mixed in with the water.

But the book is in the fifties, so they might not have had the technology for that.

I was going to read it. I'm still in Da Vinci Code again. Wait, do you mean the icicle thing is from Lovely Bones which is from the '50s? Or wuh? Huh? Either way, yeah, forensic sciences wouldn't have been around yet.

yeah, it is.

i liked the da vinci code better. i think a lot of angels and demons went over my head cause its really religious, and i'm jewish. i mean, i have a BASIC knowledge, but not enough to understand all the references.

Oh okay BEKA. I'm agnostic and I know Da Vinci work pretty well but I only have very basic knowledge of religion too, which is why I liked Da Vinci Code. What's the general plot?

I read the first couple of pages of Da Vinci Code, and...meh
It didn't grab me, and if a book doesn't grab me nearly immediately, it gets flung out the window never to be seen again.
