okay - i'm back...

spider - i have no issues with my spelling being corrected.

i'm amazed i spell anything right at all considering the fact that my mind is always split when i'm on with you guys...

thank God my hands know the keyboard better than i do at this point.

good question but no - i'm not going to touch it... they have an entire IT department for that so - NOT ME!! uh-uh...

it's not my job anyway - i'm here to operate it - not fix it... and in the long run - it wouldn't be smart...

if i do it and it works - i'll get
"hmmph - who does she think she is - trying to do our jobs for us..."

if i do it and it doesn't work - i'll get
"hmmph - who does she think she is - biting off more than she can chew..."

i know humankind to well to put myself in those positions...

when it doesn't work - i report it to them - in writing - so far this is the third report.... if they don't do THEIR jobs... so be it...

too big a cat to be f***ed by kittens.

you think after high school things would change - but they don't that much..

people are just as petty, jealous and mean spirited when they are ready and you have to watch out for them - learn how to work with and around them - without becoming LIKE them...

it doesn't change - no matter how old you get or where you work. once you learn to recognize it for what it is, however, you can put it in it's place...

i always look at it like this - it's a job and i'm not here to make friends per se - my goal is to do my best work and collect my check so that i can help my hubby feed our kids and build our life together.

i look at ALL my gigs that way - especially the shows...
when i first started i too thought it would be like community theatre and everyone was family and all that sh** - but i learned early on that in the professional arena it ain't really like that (as we discussed much earlier in the thread...)

and spider - i'm at nba tv... i work prompter for the 6pm to 1am broadcasts...

sorry bso - didn't mean to be a downer.

i'm actually quite the optimist - just a "realistic" optimist as opposed to a cockeyed one...

truthfully i'd love it if the world was the utopian paradise that the spiritual teachings espouse(sp?) on...

BUT IT AIN'T!

another one of those paradoxes we talked about last night...

so - taking things as they are - but still living for the best - i find to be the only "balance" this libran can come to that keeps her sane.

we're talking about the fan fiction that cam is writing, as per the dare that NTG gave her last night.

cam sent me what she had, and i was giving my input.



DON'T CHANGE IT TO THIRD PERSON! i've always LOVED hearing a scene through a single character's eyes, especially mimi's, who i believe is the deepest, most interesting character.
