It's not necxessarily about taking chivalry to the extreme, it's about respect and treating a person decently. Granted it's sweet to a certain extent that Viva's Boyfriend wont let her open a door, but at the same time it can get annoying. I'm all for being polite and taking turns being chivalrous.. I must admit though, that I do love to be pampered. What girl wouldn't?
Chivalry is fine with me, to an extent. If it's not extreme, then it's okay. I don't need to be totally papmered, I can pay a bill every once in a while or stuff like that.
My point exactly!
Yep, there must be a distinction between chivalry and forced-dependency. Ick.
(PS. Viva ~ I probably would have been a teary mess, but since I'm not the typical 5'1, 80-lb. Asian girl, I'm used to being called chubby - I call them "boobs" -but "potato", "potatoe", "chubby". ::le sigh::)
Tiff- boobs are good... I would be at a loss if I was suddenly flat.. People are just rotten sometimes.. I'm sure your are perfect the way you are..
Not quite, but so close I scare myself sometimes.
Off to class! (Law presentation - Haven't started - Wheee!)
Atleast you can be honest with yourself..
oo joy nothing like a bit of back lash from procrastination to make the day complete! have fun..
Well he doesn't ALWAYS open the door for me lol. Only when we're on offical "dates".
Bway_Star_Tomorrow, how is the throat? How did the Audition go!?
Extreme side note: Does Fredi know the post got sent to the Off Topic board?
Someone was going to pm her..
And that's cute that he does that on "official dates"

I wasn't that bad.. I looked on the first page and figured it fell to the second page.. When I checked there I said ehh I'll look in a minute, I needed my OT fix and low and behold I found it here..

And I spend most of my time on the OT.. haha.. to each there own..
Sorry to hear that.
it's ok. Now I'm just worried that I may in fact have started to SWEAT throat coat.
best thing is, one of my communications professors is a former singer/actress (actually grew up doing shows with Kate Levering), and I walked into her office this morning, and she SMELLED the throat coat. And identified it.
I'm sorry BST.. I have been drinking throat coat like it's going out of style.. atleast my throat no longer feels like someone is taking a cheese grater to it.. I still have almost no voice, but its getting better.. (I'm on vocal rest indefinately) I hope you feel better soon..
I've never even heard of throat coat. I've just been drinking plain old water. My throat hurts really bad.
thank you. yeah, it's my own fault. i felt it coming on, but i was irresponsible and didn't put myself on vocal rest. i've also always been highly susceptible to laryngitis.
Throat Coat is awesome stuff.. it's a tea that is specifcally for throat health. It's very soothing. You can get it at places like whole foods. I used ot get it at trader joes, but they stopped carrying it. It's made by a company called traditional medicines. I prefer the Lemon Echineccea to the plain.
i like the plain better. the lemon one just has too much going on for me. i still get freaked out by the fact that it is sweet.
if you live in a region that has Safeway, they do carry it. It's in the natural foods aisle, if your safeway has one, and the tea aisle if they don't
