Anyone else catch this tonight? Great first episode. Del Toro is directing and this is about the trilogy of books that he wrote with Chuck Hogan a bunch of years ago. It's a vampire series but definitely not your typical one.

I enjoyed it. I loved the book series and am excited to see how the series pans out! :)
Thanks for starting this thread! I totally forgot about it but I'll check it out On Demand!
For some reason it didn't appear to be available via Comcast on demand last night. I have another option though that I'll pursue later today.
The main reason I come to this board is for the TV program recommendations.
This is unbelievably shallow, but the normally bald and hot Corey Stoll is wearing this wig that is so distracting, I couldn't deal with it so I changed the channel.
I haven't seen the show, but I am angry for those gross bus wraps with the worm in someone's eye for existing.

Thought it got off to a slow start but when things started going down it was crazy. In the best possible sense.
I'm hooked for now.
Finally got around to checking out the 1st ep. I'm intrigued. I think I'll stick around for awhile. But, that wig on Corey Stoll's head...
Getting scarier and scarier as it goes on, the little girl in the bath, the airline captain this week.
I can't recall the last time a tv show frightened me but sometimes I find myself covering my eyes in anticipation of certain events in each episode. The vampires don't really bother me until they lash out with their proboscis. That shaite totally creeps me out.
This show is batsh!t crazy and I love every minute of it. I thought the reveal of the "head vampire" or whatever you want to call him was pretty terrifying.
I had to give it on it, hate scary shows and this was doing my head in

Yes, Erik. A really strong premiere, in my opinion. That "prologue" was all kinds of amazing... They could probably do an entire series just based on that.
On a side note, who else noticed that they swapped out Zach (Eph's son) with a completely new actor?! http://zap2it.com/2015/07/the-strain-season-2-zach-casting-change-max-charles/ Kind of jarring.
Yeah the prologue was great. And I did notice the new kid. I liked the old one better!
