Au revoir, ayez l'amusement.

I've been taking French for nine years, and it's my minor, so I guess I shouldn't complain.

Are you minoring in it just for fun, or do you plan to do something where you'll use it a lot?

Slightly a bit of both. I mean I like being able to speak it, and I like the culture, plus it could potentially benefit me since I'm majoring in Communications/Journalism. And there's a little part of me that thinks some day I'm going to live in France.

Lol, Facebook tends to have that effect.

I was just looking at my final assignment for my Intro to the Magazine class, and I have to create a prospectus and dummy copy of a magazine. I was thinking it'd be cool to do a musical magazine. Any input?

I think it's a lovely idea. Banal is boringly brilliant

Both of my legs are asleep. I guess that's because I'm sitting on them.

That's so funny, my foot just fell asleep and I tried to stand up and almost fell over.

Do you guys know of any magazines that exist that focus solely on musicals...I tried doing a search and couldn't find any.

I don't think I've seen any that focus only on musicals. Banal is boringly brilliant

Okay. Well that's kind of a good thing, then my "magazine" won't have any potential competitors.

I just got out of the shower, and the water dried my skin out so badly that my hands are peeling. ew. *moisturizes*

Another banal poll:

Dress pants or a skirt for an internship interview?

Dress pants. They're more professional.

I can only wear flats with the pants I want to wear, though. Is it totally inappropriate to wear flip flops? I have flip flops with stiletto heels, as well as some really dressy ones, if that's any better!

I dunno about the flip-flops. Remember those girls who wore them to the White House last year? "Dressy" flip-flops still might not qualify as work wear. Wear the skirt if the shoes won't work with the pants.

Closed-toed heels are the safest bet.

I threw out half a garbage bag of stuff.

I might have to go shoe shopping. :-/

I wrote two pages. Single spaced, so it's actually more. I feel kind of accomplished.

Isn't throwing away old stuff really cathartic? I went through a bunch of old papers under my bed a couple months ago and getting rid of them was an absolutely awesome feeling.

It is kind of nice to just get rid of all that clutter, all those extra things floating around that you don't really care about. It makes me feel decisive.

Getting rid of school stuff is by far the best. I can't wait to burn all of my IB stuff at the end of next year.

Is that you in your avatar?

It always makes me feel really great to throw away things I truly don't need anymore -- like, after I graduated from high school, I threw away almost all of my notes and things that I had been keeping for God knows what, and it felt so vindictive. I kept some Regents and SAT review books to give to my brother, but that was about it. But anything sentimental is really hard for me to get rid of. Hence, again, My Little Pony and company.
