Banal is boringly brilliant

Grr, my post is in limbo.

I started biting my nails again.

I agree. I usually save all my school work until the end of the year, but then throw the pile of it in the garbage all at once.

But anything sentimental is really hard for me to get rid of. Hence, again, My Little Pony and company.

Also true. I have no problem throwing out schoolwork, even papers I put effort into, but when it comes to stuffed animals and Beanie Babies? No way.

Is that you in your avatar?

Me? Oh, no! That's Molly Ringwald, from the "Brat Pack" movies (The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, etc.). I also saw her play Sally in Cabaret. She was great! I think I posted a photo of myself in the Adam thread at some point -- I wish I looked that good! I do love sushi, though. :)

The thing with the Beanie Babies is that I still think they're cute. So I like them, and I keep them on a shelf in my room. My mom says we should put them away, but I don't want to.

My Beanie Babies are in my cubby hole- I have this wierd little mini-room/passage to the attic that's halfway up my wall that I call my cubby hole (no idea where the name came from)- because I know if I took them out, I'd feel obligated to donate them to some children's charity.

That was a horribly structured sentence.

Sorry, Siamese. I have seen a picture of you and I think you look a little like her. Maybe that's why I was confused.

Mine are all stuffed on this weird shelf-on-wheels thing that I found in my house. If I move it, they will all come tumbling out through the back. I don't really do anything with them, but they're cute. Eventually, I will come to terms with the fact that they do nothing but collect dust.

Wouldn't they block the way to the attic?

I put my hair up when I got out of the shower, and forgot to blow dry it.

I don't have THAT many.

It's a large small room. You could fit two people in it, but you'd both have to sit and be a little squished.

I pictured a large hole in the wall; sorry.

Mine are in various Rubbermaid bins in the basement.

I feel bad.

No, don't be sorry, insmoniak. I'll take that as a compliment. Banal is boringly brilliant

I should really be doing work.

I have these scarily large Rubbermaid containers in my basement that honestly look like plastic coffins. They're THAT big. I have some stuffed animals in them; my parents took away some of my stuffed animals because they're bad for my allergies.

I never did the beanie baby thing.

I wish I collected something. I never really have, for some reason.

I have a lot of beanie babies. Some are in boxes, and some are on shelves.

Yeah, that's what mine look like, too, Em.

I have so many supposedly great musicals that I need to listen to. I just feel so overwhelmed and never know where to start.

Me too. I've been trying to expand my horizons.

I could fit in the container. I DO fit in the container (yes, I've tried). I mean, I'm small, but still, that's a big container.

I have to go to a pointless meeting soon.

You know those "Do not take if you have consumed alcoholic beverages" warnings? I've discovered why they exist. Oy.

My new laptop scares me. It follows me around the house. It would not shut-up today until i bought it a carrying case.

It's sending me subliminal messages that say...."kill the cat, kill the cat'"

I even think it said 'Feed Me, Seymour"....but I may be confusing him with a very large plat outside....

I'm afraid, VERY afraid......

They're veggie rings; sort of the healthy alternative (healthy being relative) to those onion ring... chip... things.

I like the other ones, in the green bag. Not Funyuns. I'm allergic to Funyuns.
