I took Mylanta and an acid pill. I feel better again, I think.

*prays not to throw up again*

And you got the dizzy feeling? That's what I've had all day.

I can't miss school again tomorrow, either, because then I'll no longer be exempt from finals. I realize the policy is in place in order to essentially force seniors to attend classes (if you miss two or less days of school, you don't have to take finals), but there are times when I really wish it didn't exist.

Could you get a doctor's note to prove that you were actually really sick? You can't go to school if you're throwing up!

Yeah, headrush.

Are you still queasy, or just feeling achy and feverish? I only threw up for the first eight hours, but had a fever for two or three days.

No, that's the thing... even if you ARE truly sick but miss more than two days, you still have to take the finals. It's kind of a messed-up policy, as students come to class very sick in hopes of being exempt.

I'm still a bit queasy, although the medicine helped. I also feel achy and dizzy, although not necessarily feverish.

Ugh. Complaining about it isn't going to help, but I just wish I'd feel better. I hadn't been sick in so long, I guess I was bound to get something.

That's silly. And crappy. They should make it more than 2 unexcused or non-medical absences, or something -- what about religious holidays? That's unfair.

You should try to go to sleep, maybe? random banality

It's alright. Stomach bugs usually don't last for too long.

The manager at Starbucks said that she'd call me today to let me know if I got the job. I didn't get a phone call, and I hope that doesn't mean that I didn't get the job.

How is everyone else tonight?

I'm fine, but I havve a work day tomorrow, so I should go to bed. Hope you feel better! And hope you got the job too.

Very sleepy, but starting to wake up, which means I won't go to bed any time soon. gr. It's been so long since I've gone to sleep before I was absolutely about to pass out, so I'm not at all used to going to sleep when it means not being dead-tired, and instead having to "try" to fall asleep. I hate that feeling, which is probably why I've been avoiding it.

I hope you got it!

I've found that once you start to get tired, you should seize that opportunity immediately to get to sleep. Otherwise, you'll get a second wind.

I should probably take my own advice and head to sleep as well.

I agree, and I know I should, but I don't, for one reason or another. I'm not very good at doing what I "should," sometimes.

I do, yeah. It's a lot lighter (it's so weird that you never realize the weight of your hair until you get a lot of it cut) and needed to be relayered. Nothing drastic, but she did a good job. random banality

I also found a job that I think might be perfect, so I'm going to talk to them tomorrow afternoon.

Good luck with the internships!

I don't really know if I'm qualified for this job, but I have experience with clerical duties and I want it really badly. It's probably naive, but I'm thinking, "One year from now I'll have a degree, so there must be someone who's willing to hire me for something more substantial than your typical summer job fare." I wish I'd gotten things together to apply for internships earlier in the year.

I'm sitting here, without my coffee, mind you, waiting for storage people to come and pick up some boxes. I have no clue when they'll show up - just that it's sometime between 8:30 and 12:30.

Gotta love Downtown. People crossing against the light in front of moving armored cars. Don't want to clean up after that.

I have my IB French test tomorrow morning, but my teacher decided to not show up today. So I left, and now I'm in the library.
