Good. Just a one-day bug?
hah, they'll never know. Not like we should promote dishonesty, but it's not a big deal. I hate returning stuff. I have no idea why. I always make my parents do it.
I'm doing okay. I was up late again last night, just kind of blabbering until I exhausted myself; my outlook on it all kind of changes from day to day, but I think it'll level out, though never go away. So, yeah, aside from occasional pangs of proverbial pain, I'm okay.

I think so. My mom was sick last night as well. Try to avoid this bug as best you can!
The merchandise was open, so even if I hadn't used one of the DVDs, they couldn't exactly put it back on the shelf anyway. Hah, I'm totally rationalizing, but I had no idea there was a difference between a DVD-R and a DVD+R.
Glad to hear you're doing (somewhat) better. You're done with finals now, right? Maybe?
Yup! I'm going to hand my last one in in a few minutes.
Congrats on finishing finals/getting jobs/etc.
So they still took the DVD+Rs back, Lexi? I didn't try to return mine because I didn't have a reciept and ran out of time before I had to leave town. Maybe I'll need them... sometime?
My shirt has an unusually high number of buttons.

Yes, they did, although he immediately asked for the reciept, so I'm assuming you need that.
I'm writing thank you cards for graduation gifts.
Thank-you cards are awkward.
Campus is EMPTY.
"Campus is EMPTY." Ours too. Most of my floor left already, but since my mom can't come to help me move out until later tonight (like 1am), I'm stuck here until tomorrow morning
The auditions I had turned from group to individual half hour to an hour long auditions. I think I will be sick, unless it's a sit down after my monologue and song.
I *should* be doing my math homework, but it's not due until Friday. Ehhh.
ETA: And by Friday, I mean Monday.
There's a place for us,
A time and place for us.
Hold my hand and we're half way there.
Hold my hand and I'll take you there
Somehow,
Someday,
Somewhere!
sigh, having an emotional WWS moment....

Anyone around, or is everyone out enjoying theatre?
Glad you've recovered, Emcee.

Well, I'm here. Studying. My IB French is tomorrow morning. =/

I'm sorry, Mandi.
What's on the IB language tests, anyway? I'm in Spanish.
There's a speaking part that you have to do earlier in the year. You have to do 3-4 minute presentation about something dealing with Spanish culture. Spanish for you at least.
Then on the actual test there are a few passages that you have to read and answer some questions. They're usually multiple choice and fill in the blank type questions.
And then there are 2 essays. The first one you read something, and then write 100 words answering one of the questions asked. Then the second one they give you 4 choices of things to write about, like a letter or something. And that has to be 250 words.

How complex do you have to be for SL? I have no comprehension of the subjunctive tense.

You know how you do the more tolerable homework first and then are left with that awful feeling of having to do six assignments you really don't have any desire to do?
Yeah, I have that feeling right about now.
I'm not really sure. See, next year they're getting rid of French at my school, so I'm being forced to take the test a year early. There are some tenses that I haven't even been taught.

SIX?
*hug*
That's a very unkind thing to do to a senior.
My school related banality:
If it would make you feel any better, I have a project that will take a threadbare minimum of ten days to grow and we have eighteen work days left. And then I have to write it up and get ready to present it.
They were supposed to have the chemical solutions ready on Wednesday so I could get my radishes set up and we could have time to watch them grow. Turns out, I forgot to give them some important piece of paper so they couldn't do it and our project was delayed. Ok, fine. That stuff happens.
So I gave the paper to them and I walk early this morning, expecting yet again to have the solutions waiting for me. No dice. I found my group member later and asked why he'd neglected his simple assignment for the second day in a row and his response was: "I didn't feel like it."
He didn't FEEL LIKE IT?
We have practically no time at all. I might not even FINISH my part of the project at this rate because we've put it off so long. We are down to the wire and I'm being delayed because he doesn't FEEL LIKE IT?
Worst of all, I didn't even hear about this until AFTER I'd dragged my sorry ass out of bed and gotten to school forty-five minutes early two days in a row. They have my email address. They could have TOLD me this, but no. That would be too considerate of my time.
I wanted to kill him. And this isn't even the kind of thing I could go ahead and do myself; it's a science project and I don't even know HOW to make these damned solutions. Without their cooperation, I'm sunk. If they didn't make them today..... I don't know what will happen.

Lexi, don't you graduate in like, a week? Why do you still have homework?!
Broadway Legend Joined: 12/31/69
Yes, six. Not all of them are due tomorrow, but two of them are research papers.
I'm really sorry, nia. You know how much I loathe group work, and it's especially unfair when your group members don't want to work as hard as you do. My drama class earlier this year was group work hell. I was constantly pegged as the "bad guy" for actually making people work.
ETA: I don't know why either, Elphie. We have a math test on the last day of school. How effed-up is that?!
Updated On: 5/11/06 at 09:58 PM
That's just, that's just AWFUL. How mean! Do you have to take final exams?
Nia, I'm sorry. Group work is no fun. I hope it works out.
