Same here. heh.
I love Chinese food
Is my post seriously in limbo AGAIN?
Lexi, we really do have so much in common. I can't wait until you get to NYC - so many baseball/Broadway/shopping adventures to plan
Em, soup dumplings are incredible. You need to go to Joe's Shanghai (or some other place that makes them) and try them
Soup dumplings! Amazing. I was introduced to them a few years ago. Yumm.
As long as it's a place that doesn't use peanut oil, I defintely will go! *Hopefully* I will be working downtown over the summer. Anyway, they sound perfect. I love wontons, but not the meat. So really, only the noodles. And the soup.
I'm the opposite of that, Lexi... I'm a big picture person, but can be neglectful of the small details. I guess neither is particularly ideal.

But will we choose Shea or The Place of All Things Good and Holy, Jessica?
I have Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl" in my head. This isn't good.
True, Ashley. I can see the big picture -- in fact, I do, most of the time -- but when I get stressed out, I tend to focus on the dumbest, most minute things.

All of this wonton talk makes me hungry.
I've had to go to the bathroom for like an hour, but I'm too lazy to get up. I have hit a new low.
I'm really afraid that all of the papers I have to write, if I spend enough time on them and do them well, will cause me not to have time to keep up with my *other* work and reading, etc.
Lexi, we can go to both! I prefer Shea for obvious reasons, but I can deal with going to That Other Place.
Hollaback Girl? Yikes. I have the Ataris cover of "Boys Of Summer" stuck in my head and it's driving me up the wall.

David Wright, here we come!
I'm watching Cardinals vs. Cubs on ESPN.
What's sad is that I could sit around and watch baseball all day and night if they played that often.
Darn you people. I was perfectly fine until I read this thread. Now I'm looking through the Chinese takeout menu and trying to decide what combination of things will get me $8 minimum for delivery.
Lexi, you should subscribe to MLB.TV (if you do it now with your non - NY zipcode, you won't get blacked out of the NYC - area games )
"I've had to go to the bathroom for like an hour, but I'm too lazy to get up. I have hit a new low."
LOL, I was just thinking how sad it is that I won't go to the bathroom because I don't want to move, and then I read that .

My friend is nice enough to give me her subscription info, but I've been having problems loading it on my computer. The interface is very strange.
The Cubs pitcher is cute.
I need a life. I will not let baseball consume my life this year!... only BWW.
I was so amused at how many t-shirts I saw in Boston bad mouthing the yankees. These boys I was with went up to these people in a store and asked them if you had to like the socks to work there because they were wearing all apparel, and the guys said "why wouldn't you like the socks?" and they respond with "we're from new york" and with that, they got the dirtiest look. It was so funny.
I think baseball is designed to consume our lives. Why else would most of the games be played in the summer, when we have no school-related stuff to deal with? (And in my case, I'll be going to as many games as I possibly can because I can't get them on TV)

I love the city of Boston. It doesn't have the "big city" feel, but it has wonderful shopping and food. I used to live there years ago. I've been back once, but I miss it.
However, their baseball team can go to hell.
I feel like I've missed out on something by my family not really doing much traveling within the US (aside from the usual visit-the-grandparents-in-south-Florida thing and one trip to San Diego when I was an infant, I don't think I've been anywhere other than random parts of New England). As much as I knew I didn't want to leave NYC for college, I regret not at least trying to do the whole look-at-a-bunch-of-schools-in-other-parts-of-the-country thing to at least get a taste of what other cities are like (and of course, go to baseball games while I'm there :-P)
I bought a prom dress today.
...Does that count as banal?
Driving in Boston is a nightmare. It's so easy to get lost.
"However, their baseball team can go to hell."
They can *hates red socks*. I liked Boston, but we didn't spend enough time there.
Elphie-- what colour?
My mother nearly scared the crap out of herself while trying to drive in Boston at night.
Ooh! Elphie, is it yellow?
It is! It's very, VERY pale yellow with sparklies and criss-crossies. It's pretty.
Aww. You should take a picture
