The post above this is like my fourth in-limbo post today.
Surely, I'll try now.. it might take awhile, I'm slow.

Oh, I would love to see that pic..thanks Mel.
*shudders* Note to self: Never say yes when my aunt offers to do your laundry. My ballet pink juicy hoodie looks ashen and my sweater is like 6 sizes smaller...

Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is the one with liver-related side effects. Ibuprofen (Advil) affects one's kidneys. My dad, when doing his residency, saw people who ODed on Tylenol in a suicide attempt in the ER. He said it's really a horrific way to die -- these people think they're going to be out after a few hours, but instead, they die a long, painful, jaundiced death.
I'm sure everyone wants to read about this around dinner time, too! But, yeah. Be careful, people!

i'm sorry Marlene
Ouch, juicy's expensive. I lent pants to my friend last year who didn't give it back for months, and eventually had bleached it by accident.
I read somewhere that it takes 10X the amount of OD on the label to die from tylenal.

I was supposed to go to dinner with a friend at 6. She wasn't in her room. I left a message. I called. I left a message. It is now 7:40 and she has neither shown up nor called. I'm pretty pissed.
Ooh, those are cool, Mel. I still think Julia Murney has a great facial structure to play Elphaba.
Women are more likely to *attempt* suicide, whereas men are more likely to complete it, because women use less lethal methods. I have no idea why I'm posting this, just random psych nerd trivia.

Sorry they're not closer/bigger.

Thanks, Mel. :)
Nice avatar, ss. :)
I heard that in my intro psych class. It astounded me that some people were perplexed.
Thank you!
Yeah, it seems pretty intuitive.
I have a genetics test on Tuesday that I need to read four chapters to prepare for.

Cheap-but-good Chinese food or "cooking" for dinner?
I'd go for Chinese, that way you don't really have to do anything.
I know this is going to sound kinda weird, but I never really understand how people commit suiside. I mean I wouldn't want it to hurt and I feel like there's no way to avoid that.
I'd go for Chinese. I've had a craving for Chinese food lately, but... I don't really like it. That makes tons of sense.
ETA: Eep, I feel that I've depressed the tone of the thread. We should get back to the banality.

Most likely. However, you can still cause serious damage to your liver by taking more than the required dose, especially multiple times.
Also, not to be morbid, but there are ways to commit suicide without pain.
*doesn't want to be morbid*
I think I'll get Chinese later. After I get some more work done.
I really need to find a way to just.... not second-guess every little thing that goes on in my life. It just leads to unnecessary stress, and that's no fun. Like, relaxation and some patience would be a beautiful thing.

Sorry, I was just responding to her post. Mel, if you're interested in the psychology behind suicide, I'm sure there have been many studies on it that you can find.
Yeah, we type A people have no fun, Em. I'm rather type A, but most people who don't know me well wouldn't be able to tell.
I'm generally fairly relaxed and pretty easygoing, but when things are going on that make me freak out, it messes me up so badly. I spend so much time dwelling on what ifs, and stuff. Bad bad bad.
My lab tomorrow got cancelled. Yay.
Chinese food is awesome. I went to a really good place in Chinatown for dinner today and had something called "soup dumplings" - basically, your typical wonton, only with the soup inside of it. Quite awesome.

Me too, Jessica. Heh, we're so similiar. I'll freak out about the little details and miss the overall point. I hate letting it on to other people, though.
New Yorrrrk.
Me. Too. "Why is this happening? What did I do wrong? How can I fix it? What does this MEAN?" Everything, to me, has to mean something. I was going to say things don't just happen, but that's not really what I mean -- like, I don't really believe that everything is predetermined or fated in that way, but acts by people -- like, I have a hard time believing that people just up and do things without some kind of reasoning and motivation. I want to change that. It makes me (and others!) crazy. I overanalyze *everything*. Like, I obviously can't change my inherent personality, and I guess that's alright, but I can change my reactions and responses and just chill out a little. :)
Soup dumplings? Those sound really, really amazing.
