Is it a bad thing that I'm secretly wishing that everyone FALLS on the ice?
IS it a bad thing that I'm secretly wishing that someone would fall on their face on "Dancing With The Stars"?

Oh, I totally can sympathize, Plum. I spent much of my time making up for Freshman year. And Junior year's physics courses...
Yeah, my freshman year was rough. (That was the year of The Breakup and I had, like, a 2.9 and the remaining two years were to make up for it.

And worst of all, my school is probably the only one in the U.S. that believes in grade deflation. Heh. Anyway, I have too much to do right now to go into my "OMG what will I do when I graduate" panic of the week.
Tiff, indulge the schadenfreude!

I look at you like a younger version of Me: What Could Have Been If Things Had Gone Better - no schadenfreude here!

I meant the dancers falling on their faces. :P
Oh, that? Christ yes. How can someone with THAT much spray-on tan NOT skid across the whole damn floor??

Best. Mental image. Ever. Tiff, things went fine with you.

I think I'm going to judge law schools by their LRAPs.
The wha?
Here's some banal shilling - don't forget to vote for BWW Idol this week! Voting's extending until Saturday morning since I'll be away tomorrow, so now's your chance to get caught up and start participating! (And IMO, this week's offerings were impressive - some more than others...)
I'll also add the past 5 weeks' song lists in case any newbies want to hear certain performers or rounds.

Tiff, you're applying to law school and don't know about LRAPs? Well, I guess since Canada's cheaper they're a bit redundant, but they're Loan Repayment Assistance Programs, which basically help you out a ton with your loans if you go into public service and/or nonprofit jobs after law school. It's kind of a recognition that not everyone goes into Really Big Firms and gets paid $70,000 a year or whatever right out of school.
Anyhoo, I saw Kushner's A Bright Room Called Day today, and I'm really tired; I haven't rested at all in a while.

Needless to say, I don't look too good.

I just had the proverbial "fire alarm that goes off while you're in the shower". Joy.
At least it's nice out.

I thought that fire alarm would be the most exciting part of my day, but noooo...we had to have a power outage during a concert I was teching. Oh god.
My refrigerator is still covered in blankets, my pathetic attempt at insulation to prevent my milk from going bad.
Oh geez. Is there snow outside? Would that be a better option?

Nah, power's back. Or I wouldn't be wasting my laptop battery. :)
Are you saying that while being out of electricity, you wouldn't seek solace on the BWW community just because you'd lose some battery power? Priorities!

Nono. During the power outage, first I put away the delicate tech equipment, then I went back to my hall and had a White Russian. Alcoholic solace with my hallmates.
