Uh-oh... was someone late today because of that?

Did I forget to push the "post message" button earlier? Anyway, someone mentioned something about overhearing something in office, which reminded me of www.overheardinnewyork.com .
Chick #1: Who's that actress who plays Blanche Devereaux?
Chick #2: Rue McClanahan!
Chick #1: Okay, you can say it. You're not drunk enough yet.
Overheard in New York

Hey, now, no ripping on the midwest unless you're from here or you live here.

I'm from Texas. Does that mean I can rip on the Midwest? I've never actually got the term "midwest". It seems to me that everything between New York and CA should be called the Midwest. Or maybe just North Dakota through TX. (Going down).

Hey, this thread is banal. There'll be no going down here.
Frankly, I've always been confused about the whole mid-West thing as well. I mean, I'm from Michigan and, therefore, the mid-West, but wouldn't mid-West be more, I don't know, West?
I've only been to Chicago and had limited contact with anything outside, so no ripping on the mid-West from this Easterner...

Chicago rocks! It's got the friendliness of the mid-West with a big city vibe.
I love you, Chicago.
Post-flu sucks almost as much as the flu itself. My teeth hurt, I'm coughing like a dog and my nose has miraculously turned into a fountain.
I need to go back to Chicago... I was only there for a whirlwind weekend...

Yes, come back to Chicago. I have a nice big bed with 550-count Egyptian cotton sheets. *wink wink*
I hope you feel better, MFL!!!
Wait. I dinna think that was a banal hint that SG just threw out... *nudge, nudge*
I just cut myself shaving.
Shaving...what?
I don't understand the term "mid-West" either. What, by definition, IS the mid-west? I'm with C_O - it should be everything west of North Dakota and Texas, going down.

What, no Illinois? If Illinois isn't in the midwest, I don't know what is.
Anyway I'm tiiiired. And I have a headache. Naturally the assholes (aka my neighbors) are playing loud rap music outside my window. I hope they're attacked by mad mice as they sleep.
I hate rap music. It's just noise mixed with profanities.

I can't go to bed at nine! *faceplant* Oh god, I don't think I can make it to ten. I'm seriously exhausted here.
Don't do it! Then it'll screw up your sleep cycle until the next time you manage to stay awake 'til a reasonable hour!
Stay awake, Plumsy! Let's talk Veronica Mars!

Eating chocolate-covered espresso beans now. And I'm going to watch Memoirs of a Geisha at...10. Which should make my sleep cycle okay.
"Okay" in the sense that you'll be asleep in the beginning of the movie?
(Oh, that's unfair. You won't fall asleep in the movie. Your blood will be pounding since you'll be so pissed at how badly Rob Marshall screwed up the story. Have you read the book?)

Yep. And I'm going in with an open mind no matter what you say. :P
BTW, every mention of Veronica Mars makes me want to write another proseltyzing blog entry about its wonderfullness, or start a thread or something. And I accidentally clicked on some spoilers and wow...
I just read a thread on Wednesday's ep on Tivo - I've heard I should stay away from the TWOP forums.
Did you interpret Logan being in the bathroom as him planting the coke there or what?
Someone meant to post in Bitches!
LOL!

SPOILER (for those 4 people who watch VM)
I wouldn't put anything past Logan right now. Except the murder itself, ironically.
