I have decided to turn on a light becayse I cannot see anything down here.
"I had an ingrown toenail, it was fairly swollen, and I thought, "hmm, I've taken care of these before myself, I'll just take care of it now!" "
I did the same thing this summer. I was told by a nurse that it was the worst ingrown toenail she had ever seen. It's still gross looking but it's healed. I named it Pedro. It wasn't pretty, but the copay at the Podiatrist was only $30. I am sure we got billed for more later though.

Made it to London alive despite the best efforts of United and Heathrow. Am currently sitting in dorm room, still packed except for this computer. My priorities are completely in order.
Plum, you are a woman after my own heart.
The guy at my deli just said to me, "Do you know what I like about you? Your voice. You have such a nice baby voice."
Huh. Thanks...
I am still weithout a computer and it has almost been a month now I think. Well maybe it feels like a month but I am going crazy!

I just ate a third of a box of cornflakes. Day 1 of Plum Has No Meal Plan didn't go so well.
Plum, I realize it's been 13 years exactly since I was in London, but when I was there, I saw and patronized many establishments that serve prepared food for a price.
My eyeshadow looks incredible today.

Really Rath? What are these mysterious places at which you can exchange currency for a meal?
Mapquest supposedly works for London, but places the street I was looking for (a busy four-lane affair) in a blank space as if it were some negligible alleyway. Gah.
I even went to a McDonald's there!
I hate Latin soooo much. How much do you ask? I belive that this quote from the movie Clue will help.
"I hated it sooooooooooooo much, its like flames. Flames! Flames! Wreathing flames on the side of my face!"

Best line in a book review:
"Written more than 25 years ago as a film treatment by Marlon Brando and Donald Cammell, the mysterious Scotsman who directed the 1970's cult classic "Performance" and then basically dropped off the face of the earth, "Fan-Tan" is the kind of high-seas extravaganza nobody writes anymore because everybody's too busy churning out books about land-based serial killers, perhaps concealing the Spear of Longinus beneath the Shroud of Turin in the glove compartment of a Dodge Neon that once belonged to Mary Magdalene's luckless descendant, Rhiannon Schwartz."
i'm thinking of puttting on my hoochiest club clothes and picking up a boy for some fun and rebound (&***

Good plan. Why is it that I can only fall for older and younger guys? Why can't I find anyone my own age? What the hell is the matter with me?
I am having a bit of a disagreement with my bank. I had an overdraft on my account because I forgot to figure in shipping and handling on a purchase. I went in and paid the overdraft fee and everything else on my accounton 9/15. I had ordered a book from Amazon (separate from the purchase that gave me the overdraft fee.) and it went through on my Debit card on 9/8 but did not show up in my account until 9/14. (It was paid for with my visit to the bank though.) The most it has ever taken for my account to acknowledge a payment to Amazon is 3 days. Six days seems like a bit too much to me. So I did cover the cost of the book , but the overdraft fee for that day did not kick in until 9/15 AFTER I went to pay off everything at the bank. Grr the 800 number lady wouldn't listen to me so I am going to call my home bank branch. I have had an account there since I was in third grade and they know my family well so I am hoping they'll waive the fees and just let me pay the $33. If the bank system hadn't screwed up I wouldn't be having this problem.
(My most banal entry yet! Finances!)
Those people on the 800 number are WORTHLESS. I always go into the bank in person anymore.
mother****ers!
the governor of ga, in his infinite wisdom, has cancelled public school for the next two days in an effort to save gasoline. save it for what? what is more important than kids going to school?
i happen work for the school system, so i get two days off. lucky me. no i can plan on working two extra days at the end of the school year.
I excel at procrastination. I have a speech due tomorrow, yet I am on BWW and I have the Martha/apprentice show on television. Every once in a while I minimize BWW and take a stab at writing. bah. *goes off to get a glass of wine*

I heard about that, cturtle. Shows where his priorities lie- if he wanted to save gas, he could have shut down or scaled back operations at other government offices, but of course he chose schools. Niiice.
Okay, banal post of the day- I have drama in the law building and literature in the medical sciences building. Just saying.
