As a native Floridian, I'm going to echo what Craig said earlier. The further south one goes in Florida, the more
"north" one goes. So much so, that during the American Civil War, the real one, not the one in RodenyK's mind nor that musical by someone named Wildhorn, Key West, my hometown, was the only Yankee town in the Confederacy.

Rodney, personal curiosity begs... did you vote for Obama?

#32re: A Civil War....

no.

I knew that Keyes had no chance so I voted for him anyway.

Obama could very well be the first black President.
I look at him and feel like I've wasted my life. His father was a freaking goat farmer in Africa and he went to Harvard.

"Obama could very well be the first black President."

that's an interesting theory

when exactly are you thinking? 2016?

i just dont think that Obama would get the democratic nomination in 2008, weve got edwards, clinton who are going to run, then 2012 im not sure that too far in the future. if one of them wins then they will run again if they dont win then maybe the other one will run in 2012.

I'm still shocked over Tom Daschle. It's one of those "How did THAT happen" moments

rodney......
what is WRONG with you? did you not get enough hugs as a child?
i find it so strange that you post on a "broadway" message board and yet you never have anything but a political diatribe to hand us. i am truly glad that we live in a country that supports difference in opinion. i am happy for you that "your boy" won. i hope you can acheive your goal of having ann coulters' baby. i would like to know why you seem to have so much hate in your heart for people that excercise their right to a different opinion.
you go right on fighting for the old ways. i will go on fighting for the new. in the end, the new will win out. change cannot be stopped... only slowed down.
if you are looking for positive reinforcement you might look for a message board on www.gop.com. good luck.

>> I'm sure there are many people in your state who will be more than happy to move you. I think you should move to Texas...you'd fit right in there. Maybe you can find a girl there who would date you.

why, boobs, why? priest and i don't deserve any more pain then we already experience on a daily basis. besides... there ARE blue counties here... including the city of austin, where i'll be living in january. so we don't *all* suck!
(btw- does anyone else think it's weird that dubbya acts like he's this big texan when he and his family aren't even from here? he's just as much of a northerner as kerry, even if he doesn't want to admit it. that accent it too heavy to be real.)

Obamma won with the MARGIN he did because the Illinois Republican Party leadership are a den a idiots and couldn't get a decent candidate.

If Mike Ditka had run, Obamma would be only a memory by now....really.

I don't normally weigh in on the political threads because I get too annoyed, but I was curious Rodney, if you are so against the Northeast & NYC, ("Anything and I mean ANYTHING that happens to these states in the next four years... I DON'T CARE!") why are you on a Broadway website?
I know you post here to get a rise out of people, & that's fine, & sometimes even slightly entertaining, but at least try be logical about it, please.

I find it most interesting that the states MOST affected by 9/11 New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania all voted against W. It's clear to me who the people actually touched by this tragedy, really trust to run the country.

I'm from Connecticut and I voted for Badnarik. I didn't vote for Bush because I don't like his domestic policies a whole lot, and I didn't vote for Kerry because I don't feel like I can trust the guy on anything.
If you think that the North Eastern states voted for Kewrery based soley on 9/11, then I think you need to re-evaluate your own intelligence. There were many more topics at hand here.

Illinois loves Ditka, it's a well known fact.

I'm not sure where you got that idea from...my sentiment, though fueled by the fact that the current administration wants to take away my human rights, was primarily about the galvanized people against this administration.

And had we in NYC actually felt protected after 9/11, and had we actually felt that our own war on terror hadn't been hijacked and turned into a whole new war of revenge for the President's daddy, then yes, we would have voted for W. If W had been effective at leading this country through the difficult time following 9/11, then the Northeast would have followed him.

We are an intelligent people, as you can tell from the following list. You'll notice the top few are states in the Northeast. This is a chart with the median IQ's listed for each state, and what each of those states voted in this election.
