Since there have been large numbers of iPod threads, here is a thread where you can talk about nothing but iPods! Any questions, comments, or raves about how pretty they are, can go here. Enjoy!
They are so pretty. However, I am too poor to afford one and am stuck with listening to my friends while they are in class and I have free periods. I did get an MP3 player yesterday, though, so at least I am in the game!
Alright, I have an ipod question. I just transferred some more songs to my iTunes list, and plugged my ipod in to transfer the songs...but for some reason, nothing is happening.
The ipod is not connecting or something, and the songs wont tranfer over. My little brother dropped it last night, and the bottom white piece (I have a mini) fell off, and we had to snap it back in. Do you think that has anything to do with it?
Anyway, does anyone know why this is happening, or how I can get the songs to transfer?
I don't have one yet, but there's nothing I want more. Except maybe a hot man. Maybe.

iPods are pretty delicate; dropping them really doesn't help matters.
When you connect the iPod to the computer, is there any response? Do you see an iPod icon in the left side of iTunes, or at least a "Remove Hardware" option in the System Tray?
okay... well... if you come back and it stilol doesn't work, make sure that there is no dust in the thing you clicked back on. if it doesnt come off again, then I wouldn't try to break it off again or anything.
Don't bother with the bud earphones. They're just awful. Maybe they work for people with huge or unusually shaped ears; I don't know. What I do know is that they keep falling out and their sound quality can get downright terrible under certain cirumstances. Get a cheap over-the-ear set- Sony or something- and you'll be fine.
question......... iam thinking about getting one with some christmas money, what exactly can they do? can someone explain all the uses of an ipod. And also, iam intrested to know, what is in your ipod??

An iPod stores and plays digital music. It can hold thousands of songs and basically works like a Walkman with a lot more music and no radio reception.
You can also use an iPod as an external hard drive, but I wouldn't really recommend it.
