The official Indiana/NC primary results thread (The results won't matter, but let's party)

Posted: 5/6/08 at 10:24pmObama wipes the floor with Hillary in NC and it's still too close to call in Indiana with Hillary only leading by 4 percentage points! Even if she eeks out a win in Indiana, it's still a mighty disappointing showing for the Pandering Princess. Guess the folks in NC and Indiana aren't as gullible as Hills was counting on them being. They saw through her gas tax suspension proposal like tissue paper. The fat lady is warming up her pipes!

we will certainly see which obama supporters possess his graciousness not to gloat. To instead focus on uniting the party. To express the hope. To value the need to not push Hillary supporters away with self righteousness.
And those like Luscious who possess none of those qualities.

I just hope they see the Wizard and get a heart, brain and sense of humor.
(And I'd like to add the disclaimer that I don't mean ALL Obama supporters, but I've overwhelmingly had less than favorable experiences with his ilk recently.)

With every speech, Hillary is sounding more and more like Tom Joad. If I had a hankie, I'd cry.

Keep proving me right, Luscious. It's funny. You (and certain others) have exhibited utter nastiness when it looked like Obama's chances were dead. And, now, with the tables turned, you STILL have nothing to offer but utter nastiness. Where's the hope?
You could at least be passive aggressive about it like adgal.
In the meantime, I will do what I can to help us win the White House in November.

I think they've both given good speeches tonight. They've both been gracious, and both spoken about uniting the party.
David Gergen, one of the few pundits whose opinion I respect, pointed out that the Republicans were even more divided in the 2000 primary process with Bush and McCain supporters even more rabidly opposed than Clinton's and Obama's appear to be. However, the Republicans managed to regroup in 2000, and given the current political environment and the issues, there's no reason that the Democrats can't unite this year.

I'm not running for President. And for the record, I lost all hope in the American people about eight years ago.

I think it will be close but my guess is Hillary will just edge him out. Hillary currently holds a 20,000 vote lead. It's still exciting to me that my vote actually matters for the one time in my life even if it doesn't close the deal.
