Is it okay to hate him in general?

I liked him too! Not the best episode but nowhere near the worst of the season. He did a good job and you could tell he was having fun.

I liked him, you can tell he's really trying to not be a one-hit child-star type of actor. Plus, y'know, he's pretty, which never hurts :) lol. I especially liked the skits where he was Kathie Lee's son, the High School Musical one, and the commercial shoot for pizza rolls.

The way she said "biiiiiiitch please" for the Hannah Montana joke almost made me pee my pants.
I love Zac Efron. I don't care who knows it.

I loved it too!

I know, Sweetie, but your thread has too many haters!

I liked the High School Musical 4 sketch. I also wonder if Disney will release a statement due to Zac drinking a beer in a bar in another sketch. Hey don't laugh! This is Disney and I can EASILY see them receiving emails from mothers disappointed at Zac drinking beer on SNL.

Efron is 21 and can do whatever the hell he wants.

It's late night TV, not the Superbowl.

At least he didn't pretend to like the gay stuff. (The older gay fan, the foot rub...) Just imagine the mail THEN. Good thing he showed us he is STRAIGHT by reacting in a negative way to the gay content.
PEACE.

They defenately saved the best for last on the show.

He was fine but the show was lame as usual
I made it to about midnight & gave up on it. I loved the opening sketch re Biden & Obama. It went downhill from there.

I didn't hate him. Just his hair. I think he's cute. And I totally want to see his new movie.

I wouldn't hate him if he didn't always look like he was wearing enough make up to drown starving African baby.

The show was pretty lame. I hate that Gilly character- or whatever her name is that Kristen Wiig does- it's just annoying. I loved the Kathie Lee and Hoda thing because I love that spoof. Zac as Cody was pretty funny. Zac wasn't terrible and he didn't look like he was reading the teleprompter like Alec Baldwin does. I definitely think this will not hurt his career.

As much as I hate him, he did an ok job on the show. Wasn't the best, but wasn't the worst. He was able to make fun of his fanbase, which showed a humerous side.

Zac was very professional and was very insistent on being sure that the cue cards were placed where his eyeline was in the proper direction. He is a very talented kid and will go far once he breaks out of his High School Musical prison. I thought he did a great job and that this weeks show was pretty strong! There were quite a few very funny sketches.

But how can you have Zac on the show and not do a cougar skit?
Just like when the JoBros were on, what a missed opportunity.

Sueleen- a cougar skit would have been hilarious! Maybe Cameron Diaz wasn't available!

They did mention "gerbils," which are apparently the opposite of cougars. Supportivemom, I don't usually watch SNL but I hate that Gilly character too, that skit was just irritating.

He was alright. Next stop: Hamlet.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”
