I liked his German accent. And I could hear the swooning gay boys with foot fetishes from miles around.
I've never been a fan of Zac Efron, but I thought he did a pretty good job on SNL. I liked getting to see him play a few slightly different characters than usual-- especially Kathie Lee's son. Yeah, I didn't think most of the skits were great, but he's more than accustomed to acting on sub-par material (and the Pizza Rolls commercial was cute).
I didn't realize until I did High School Musical how difficult it is to sound like a human being when you're reading those lines. Zac Efron actually did a pretty good job in HSM, considering how ridiculous his lines were.
I love Gilly.

"I love Zac Efron. I don't care who knows it."
Ditto.
Quibbler, I giggled.

Armisen's Obama gets better every time he does it.
Plus Zac sounded nice when he sang. Why do all the haters say he can't sing?
Sueleen, Zac IS straight. Just ask the powers that be at BWW.

"Zac IS straight"
Having just seen him on Graham Norton's show, that's how I'd vote if I had to.
Zac Efron's singing in the first High School Musical movie wasn't him-- it was his voice, blended with that of the horrific Drew Seeley, because the songs were too high for him to sing. Efron's natural singing voice is very nice-- not Broadway quality, but pleasant to listen to-- and it keeps getting better.
I still think he's terribly unattractive, though...
I loved the pizza rolls commercial. The looks he kept giving were fantastic. I also really liked the foot rub one. All the others were kinda blah. I thought he did really well tho and agree that he is sure pretty to look at.
My favorite sketch of the night was Underage Drinking, but not because of Zac. When they showed the little kid holding up a police badge, I died.
I've always been indifferent about Zac but place him outside of the HSM world and he's not too bad. Which is why I loved the HSM skit when he's telling everyone how there's no choreographed dance numbers in college. ("Let me tell you about my first day. I was nervous, but excited. So I started singing a song called Nervous, But Excited. People stared at me!")
The pizza rolls commercial skit was funny as well. ("Oh, no, no, no...I AM YOUR MOTHERRRRRR!")
I didn't quite get the Gilly skit (or maybe there was no point to it?)
"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables
I'm not a fan of Gilly, eventhough I adore Kristen Wiig.
Gilly is just absurdist humor in a cartoonish world. I appreciate the technical aspects of the sketch - the quick performer and prop changes - but it's not hilarious.

I've only seen the HSM4 skit, but I thought it was pretty funny/cute
I really do enjoy Zac. He's not the strongest actor (he tends to always have the same expression like he's in a constant state of fear haha), but he is quite attractive, and his *real* voice is DEAD pretty. I love the tone of it.
And yeah, he's a cutie!
Of all the Disney people these days, he's one of the ones I'm least annoyed by haha
His new GQ cover...gotta say I find him slightly greasy, you just know you'd have to wash the pillow cases everyday with him in the house. And my goodness...is his head really that big?
Sueleen, you had the same thought I did, how could they have missed such a great cougar op?
Gilly isn't her greatest, but I do love me some Kristen Wiig, her Kathy Orman is her best skit
And my goodness...is his head really that big?
I don't think his head is that big I think it's just that his body is ridiculously petite.

That's a weird looking picture. And JustaGuy, you say greasy like it's a bad thing!
I don't really think there's anything to "get" about Gilly. Sometimes a spade is just a spade. I think I enjoy it most for the theme song.
" And JustaGuy, you say greasy like it's a bad thing!"
Well, I suppose one can always crochet an antimacassar or two, if he's going to be a guest.

"He was fine but the show was lame as usual
I made it to about midnight & gave up on it."
You know what, Roxy, if you only watch a third of the show YOU FORFEIT THE RIGHT TO CRITIQUE IT.
