...is big enough to go around!
Within a week, my show will be opening up and I'm rather excited. As some of you folks know, I'm playing Linus [a rather fitting part, I think] and have been in rehearsals since late April/early May. We're still blocking some scenes, but the majority of the show is finished and we're sounding better at every rehearsal. Yesterday, we ran through the first act and it sounded fantastic. I was even told I did an amazing job with "The Vigil". Of course, now the problem is trying to remember what I did to make it amazing and do that for every performance! In the beginning we have improvised lines before we sing "The World According To Snoopy" and one of my lines is the 'cue' for the orchestra so that's pretty neat. [In true Linus fashion, it goes something like "Edgar Allan Poe is the BEST writer ever!"]
The other numbers, such as "Edgar Allan Poe", "Clouds", "The Great Writer", and "I Know Now" are sounding wonderful, as well, and the rest of the cast is amazing. They are, without a doubt, one of the best groups of people I've worked with. I really couldn't have asked for a better cast or direction team.
We open June the 29th, and are running throughout July and August, the dates are as follows - 29th & 30th [of June], 16, 19, 10, 21 [of July], 7, 8, 9, 21, 22 [of August], with all shows at 8 pm.
If anyone here is interested in coming up and catching a performance [especially if you're in town to see one at the Ogunquit Playhouse], just let me know. It's going to be a fun show, with lots of great songs and life lessons about friendship. Not to mention, you'll have a chance to see me perform in my come-back role [I haven't been onstage in about two years].
More information about the theatre and the show can be found here.

Awww, I can't come PM, but you know I'm excited for you. Break a leg honey!!
And I don't care who you play, to me you ARE the Big Bow-Wow!
Wow, that's very nice of you to say considering you've never seen me in a show or have been forced to ride in a car listening to my Cabaret endused ramblings.
But, honestly, thank you and I'm sure a lot of people here can't see it or couldn't really care less... but I just wanted to share my joy over this show. It's one of the few that I've been in/worked on where the music doesn't bother me and the plot [or lack there of] isn't grating my nerves in some way.

Congrats, PM! In the same boat here (actually, it's a raft for me). Will be there in spirit, though (not literally, I hope). To paraphrase, taz, I don't care who you play, to me you ARE the Big Beeyotch!
Aww, your posts are making me smile. Snoopy is a lovely show-I'm glad you are enjoying it! I'm teaching an acting class for 6-12 year olds and they are performing "Anything You Can Be" and "Just One Person" for their showcase. It's adorable.
Break a leg!
Aw, those are such great numbers. "Just One Person" is my new favorite "feel good" song. "Don't Anything Less" is killing me, though! It is a really great show, and when I first was cast I didn't know a thing about it... now, it's becoming one of my favorites.
Thanks for all the kind wishes, guys.
My nerves are just kicking in so all the warm wishes are greatly appreciated.

Ooh, I'm excited for you! There's nothing more fun than being in a show that you are proud of! Break a leg!
Wish I could be there. I'm starved for good theatre right now.
I would LOVE to see it! The show sounds wonderful. I just wish I were closer to Maine. I remember going there one summer when it was so hot and sticky here and it was so cool and green and shady there. It certainly would make a nice break right now!
This is SUCH a fun show! I played Sally mmblmmmblmmm years ago.
Snoopy is a very fun show, and Edgar Allen Poe is one of the finest numbers.
Better to be the dog and the log and the kite and the light and the three and the bee and the cow and the plow and the...AUGH!!!!!!!
Break a leg, doll!
I love the score.
I'll be there! I'm flying all the way across the country to see her perform!
Oh, and design a show or two at the Ogunquit Playhouse
But I'm THRILLED that I'll be able to see the show and post a full review, full of negative comments, because (according to some folks) that's all I do!
Smooches Kitten
woohooo!
Break a leg! That's such a fun show! All the music is very catchy. I played Charlie Brown years ago and loved it!

Well, I thought my day couldn't get any better 'cause I got to see Hunter Foster in his underwear... but gosh darn it, Diva, you just made me a helluva lot happier.
I hope they have you on for Hairspray [which I'm planning to see].
[and thank you all for your regards, guys... they are muchly appreciated. =]]
