My senior year of high school which was last year, we received I forget how many bomb threats. The first one was at Halloween when the threat was written on the bathroom wall, apparently it said "Halloween is gonna be the BOMB." I think about 75% of the school didn't show up, I think that was the number, but I'm not sure. All I do know is that alot of people didn't go to school on Halloween and that it was announced that you were not allowed to bring any kind of bag with you that day. No bookbags, purses, grocery bags, lunch bags, nothing.
They actually went away for awhile, but then towards the end of my senior year, more and more bomb threats started happening. It was like everyday during 3rd period the fire alarm would ring(it usually doesn't cause that's when lunch is), and we'd all go outside while the building was searched. It got really, really annoying after the first week of phony bomb threats. Since the threats were found in the bathrooms, the principal made it that certain bathrooms were closed during certain times and that the bathrooms that were available you had to sign in to use them. Everyone hated this.
I was talking to a friend of mine from high school and we go to the same college and he remembered and I remembered some people asking "Are these threats the senior prank?" and I remember saying that they couldn't be the threat since they aren't funny and are felonies. He was also saying that one of the teachers that we had would actually say during his third block class during these threats, "Are you all ready for today's break during 3rd block?" and in the class, we use laptops and the teacher had them put the laptops away way before the end of third block.
It was later found out that the dumba**es responsible for the threats were freshmen, but you wanna know the really funny part about this aside from the serious bomb threats. The way they caught these idiots was by looking at their myspaces. The idiots bragged about the bomb threats on their myspaces, right out in the open. Here's a clue for you, if you're committing a felony, brag about it in private, not out in the open.
It was funny too cause the entire time I was in high school, nothing bad like this happened until my senior year. In my senior year alone, we had all those bomb threats, a gas line break, and a water mane break.
