I hope to not get this thread mired in a lot of what is going on on the boards right now so here are a few guidelines that I would appreciate if the board members would follow. I would like everyone to post one thing that makes them smile, no matter how small and unimportant you may think it is. The point is to get to know each other a little bit better and to see the joy in things we may have never thought about before.
1. Please no sarcasm
2. The thing that makes you smile should not be Broadway related. I want everyday life/interaction type things.
3. Again make it positive please. We have enough animosity on this board right now. Let's dedicate some space to some things that don't just depress or irritate us.
talking to my boyfriend when he gets up (he's on the eastcoast, i go to school in hawaii), which is usually right before i go to bed makes me smile. it's nice to hear his voice right before i fall asleep.

I should make a list.
1. Dancing in the rain
2. When someone says "I love you" back and means it
3. Waking up at six in the morning, rested and ready for the day
4. Passing a test or getting a hundred on my homework
5. Getting cast in a part I never thought I would get
6. Being comfortable with my friends-who-are-boys
7. This is going to sound silly, but...gay men
8. Walking up to one of those "The End is Near!" guys with the sign around his neck and trying to converse with him in fake sign language ("See...? This is you, and this is hell, and...")
9. Wearing purple socks
10. Staying up all night and watching the sunrise
11. And, since you said "should not" and not "cannot"...listening to Keep It Gay
That list-y enough for you? I'm sure I'll think of more, when I'm awake.

awww whats up governor??
Eh, nothing too awful, just little things that are all happening on the same day.
You know what's making me smile now? The Seussical recording. First time I'm listening to it, and it's good for cheering up.
It's a very fun show no matter what some people say...
(Also I used "should not" instead of "cannot" because I knew some stuff would be Broadway related, but I wanted the main focus to be every day life.)
