Has anyone seen this movie?
I just bought it and im about to start watching it.
Any thoughts?
Glenn Close, Cameron Diaz, Holly Hunter and Amy Brenneman star.

I've seen it. What a cast! An amazing group of actresses. Amy Brenneman is such a nuanced performer. I hope she comes to NY to do some theater soon. She's doing a show at the Williamstown Theatre Festival right now. Worth seeing if just for the cast. But the message of the story is pretty unique. Check it out.

Posted: 7/27/06 at 6:27pmI can't stand Calista Flockhart though. But her character itself is annoying. If you want to keep a costumer and your a hand-reader, you can't tell them so many things at once and be so negative toward them. Stupid! But the movie is ok. The acting is indeed great.

Posted: 8/9/06 at 10:57pmI saw A Nervous Smile on 7/29...I've never been more impressed by an actor in my life. Amy Brenneman was incredible. Just in a whole other league. I wish I could have seen the show again, but I don't know if I could have handled the intensity of the subject matter more than once...

Posted: 8/10/06 at 10:37amI got this movie through NetFlix not really knowing what to expect and not expecting anything. However, I was entralled by this movie. I found all of the women wonderful in their roles and was both entertained and moved by each of the interconnecting vignettes. This is probably one I'm going to buy eventually.
