Posted: 10/6/09 at 10:49pmI want to be able to sing (in full chest) a C below the bass clef and an F on the top line of the treble clef (and everything in between, thus creating a range of over 3 octaves and the ability to sing almost every male role ever written in musical theatre and opera). Also a boundless falsetto to sing countertenor and Frankie Valli-type roles. I also want to be able to produce a natural pop-rock sound that doesn't sound like a legit singer trying to sing pop-rock.

That. I'm a classically trained soprano, so singing high notes isn't a problem, but I could never be cast in any rock/pop musical. I also sometimes wish I had a clear Sutton Foster-like belt.

Posted: 10/7/09 at 12:10amI can't do any voices. I learned this when we did voiceovers in class. I mean like, cartoon voices. I can affect my voice to sound older and younger but its still my voice.
"Interesting choice"

Posted: 10/7/09 at 6:03pmI wish I had Cheno's vibrato and Brightman's high C's. Right now, I have Elaine Page's vibrato and I can't get past a B without cracking.

Posted: 10/9/09 at 10:13pmI wish I wasn't a bass. There are, like, no awesome roles written for basses in the past forty years except Sweeney Todd. I just started voice lessons over the summer and my range is from the E below the bass clef to about middle C, but it's getting bigger quickly. When I started lessons this summer, my range was from the G at the bottom of the bass clef to the G an octave above, so in a few months (or maybe more than just a few...) I'll have just about doubled my range, hopefully. I'm waiting to get the E above middle C so I can sing "Being Alive" from Company and accompany myself on piano and then make a youtube video of me as Raul Esparza in the revival of Company (I've been playing piano for years and years and I recently learned how to play the song). Another drawback is that it's really awkward being the only bass in eighth grade. Oh, and I wish I had a big vibrato, but I've been noticing it slowly develop, and it excites me.

Posted: 11/14/09 at 9:46pmI wish I could hit a tenor C. I can hit up to like a C4, and then I have to go into falsetto. I'm a baritenor and C4 is the highest I can go, but I can go low (not exactly sure how low though.)

Cure cancer
But seriously, I wish I had a voice that had some rock quality to it. And I wish I could hit a d5 without falsetto

I wish I had the ability to sing both Musical Theatre and Opera/Classical without it sounding weird.
I wish I had a voice teacher that did more classic musical theatre repetoire with me instead of opera.
Let's say I'm in the position Audra McDonald was some odd years ago.

Posted: 11/29/09 at 8:14pmI wish I could sing soft and airy for some points and not feel unstable. Oh and that tenor high C would be nice. :)

Well, it would make us more castable- then again, it wouldn't make a difference if every guy had it
