I'd love to see Gatsby as a chamber piece by Guettel... anyone else? I'll be seeing this because well a) Love the book b) LOVE Megan Sikora as Daisy Buchanan, amazing casting!
Supremely talented singer However, if she was alive, her drug problem would kill any chance of her playing Fanny. You'd just have to find her understudy.
I think he's okay, just okay. While in no way untalented, everyone knows he can sing, he just can't really act (or atleast in my opinion.) Too pop for How to Succeed, IMHO. Oh well, whatever you can do to make money and sell a pretty face.
Word is that they had to re-build the set a day before opening due to previous malfunctions. I don't have a link but I have good word from a friend of a friend. Oh, well its The Muny so what can you do?
Just curious. Is it a fixed number (ie $100,000) or a percentage? I read that some owners reduce the rent for shows that aren't doing so well. Do they also raise it for a sell out show (ie Book of Mormon)? Thanks :)
D.B. Bonds and Colt Prattes... that was nice. Imagine D.B. Bonds' face on Colt Prattes' bod? Unfortunately, everything else was terrible especially Paulette's costume. God awful. The sets look like a 4th grader drew it. Seriously, who designs those sets?
The grosses just came out... Priscilla made $736,584 at 59.1% capacity. Uh oh. Plus, that Tony number didn't help much with the whole "It's not just for gays anymore.' Coming from someone in the LGBT community, that was quite possibly the gayest number of the night.
I have friends who are coming to New York to see it? Is it any good? I've never seen the show... also, to the those who've seen it, how large is the audience on average?
Multiple personality disorder... just no rock score. Something subtle but really different. How bout a musical about Mary Magdalene? I vote Kacie Sheik.
