Nice slice of sheer bitchiness served up by Gawker

Meh. I find it hard to get het up over other people's wedding announcements, even if they are "hipsters" or available for all to see.
And I thought the bride to be's ability to take the criticism in stride shows who the real dicks in this situation are.
That site was perhaps the most pretentious thing I've ever seen.
However, it was not meant for the public's judgement, and I think the guy that tore it up is no better. It was personal.
AJ Daulerio overlapping Deadspin to Gawker in the worst possible ways. Drew Magary's non-sportswriter rants are continually trite while Grierson & Leitch reviews on Deadsdpin should really be on the main site rather than Exit Musings for a Film.

You know what's more hipster than the wedding site in question? Writing an entire article about how hipster it is and trashing on it as being too precious and smug.
Gawker seems to be trying hard to out-hip the hipsters. I did see the website and it is a bit much. But really, who cares other than the couple and their loved ones? The target audience is the people who already enoy them for being like this.
But one good thing came out of the article...this fabulous gif in the comments section

That invite makes me want to punch the couple in their faces.
That's probably why you weren't invited.

Sure, it's hipster. It's a virtual twee party! So what? Who is the couple hurting? The Gawker writers, however, LIVE to tear everyone and everything to shreds entirely for kicks. They are mean for the sake of being mean.
