1. CABARET is being revived in the West End. Wasn't the Cummings revival like, oh, I don't know -- 10 minutes ago?
2. Scarlett Johannson has been cast as "Maria" in THE SOUND OF MUSIC in London. Is that for real?
3. Whitney enters rehab, yet again. Tragic to see a once-brilliant performer and career downspiral into a cautionary tale, a joke, and prime material for SNL and Mad TV (Oh, wait, they've already covered this on those shows.)
Very twilight zone today.

1. It was 10 years ago and it was a limited run. What's more, compared to the incarnation that ended up on Broadway, it was absolutely terrible.
2. Why has nobody noticed that she might be the right age and have the right look but her voice is deeper than mine and therefore she's very wrong for the role?
3. Tragic it may be. Surprising it most certainly is not. Shame.

I don't know. There's something sexy about a contralto novice.

That's what the director of the first musical I starred in said to me, too
