I always keep a bottle of Bloody Mary mix waiting for you. But what brand of vodka goes best with it?

Currently, I use 2 parts Absolut Chicago (limited edition), 1 part olive brine, and 4 parts Bloody Mary Mix, shaken with ice and served up as a martini with an olive. But Absolut Peppar or Cilantro work just as well.

What the hell is a sock other than something to put on your feet before shoes, and whatever it is, I can assure that I am not one, unless a sock refers to a normal poster on this message board who just wanted to be nice and is instead attacked because it is "fun".

It was about New York City's negotiations with the mass transit unions to avoid a subway strike when the contracts expired at the end of 2014.  Fortunately they agreed on a new 4 year deal in November with a one time 3% uplift for motormen who had been underpaid compared to similar employees in other Northeast cities so the strike was averted. 

The conductors' union also won a concession that in addition to "watch the closing doors", they could also say "mind the gap' for fun a maximum of once per shift.
