Apparently it's because she feels it harms her voice.

Well, the screens that are on the central scoreboard portion of the arena were not showing anything. So I wonder how the people in the back of the stage seating area saw anything of the concert at all, when the action was all center stage or on the side parts...

She's had a/c in the past, but this tour is extensive, with stops as far as Russia and Japan. That's why she asked for no a/c.
If the actors in PIAZZA can sing, act, smoke, and drink in HEAVY a/c and do 8 shows a week for a long run, I don't see why M can't give us a little relief.

ac dries out the voice. however, I think she is being ridiculous. I totally get why she wouldn't want to sleep in ac or have it in her dressing room, but mama needs to rely on technique, not a crutch.

And for clarification, there is no constant air conditioning. They pulse it, so there are stretches of time where there's no air movement. And then you feel a short blast of cold air move in...
