Actually, yes it does. A lot. You are a smart woman. I would not date someone who I work with, or would have to report to, regardless.
Okay, good. Then I made the right decision. I think that was the underlying basis of my hesitation - one date isn't a big deal if you don't work together, but if I was to date him, I'd have to consider the potential lasting power we'd have given our situations. If it looks like it wouldn't be long-term and someone would get hurt (and it does already), it's probably best not to test those waters.
Now to smooth things over with him from last night so I will get called for work again...
yeah dating guys your work with is a bad idea.. I somehow missed that memo till it was too late.. Talk about and interesting situation.. But we had some good times..
Tiff you can't keep beating yourself up over it.. You made a decision based on real points and you should be proud you are willing to put your long term career before getting a piece of A$$..
That's true. And my film career is important to me. I might be 1st ADing a music video next weekend, and FINALLY the Pierce Brosnan/Mel Gibson production has been listed on the Director's Guild of Canada site, and it's the company I've been waiting my entire life to work for. So things are clicking into place!
That's good.. I'm glad things are looking up for you.. Especially after where you were only a week and a half ago..
Whew, thanks. I'm so relieved - it's nice to only have $8 to my name for a short period of time! Now to wait for my cheques to arrive!
Checks. CHECKS!
Would you like some teriyaki for lunch? I think if we search high and low we should be able to find a place nearby.
What is this teriyaki you speak of DD?? Isn't that something mythical like the Unicorn?
Well... on a *trip* recently I think I saw a store that had a sign. Not sure where it was though. Haven't seen one since.
It was probably one of those pagan occult stores that think they can conjure teryaki.. You're probably safest not to go there..
But what if it's the bestest thing ever? It's so rare, how could I pass the opportunity?
I dont know.. It could be dangerous.. are you sure you are up for such a risk? I mean you might want to enlist the assistance of a true heathen just in case..
but you're so far... tiffy?
A true Heaten.. Moi?? **blushes from flattery**
did i hear mention of pagan stores?
I believe you did Middy..
count me in. those are my favorite stores.
"Cheques", ya dumb Yank.
Congrats on the new place!
Did you know that Teriyaki was named after the prominent talkative Japanese General, Gen. Terry Yaki? (Hence, "What are you yakking about?" is really "What are you yaki-ing about?") After he was injured in one of the World Wars, he bought up properly in the pacific northwest, centering on Seattle and Vancouver. All those restaurants actually serve a variety of dining genres, but they're on the Terry Yaki reserve, so they're obligated to put it in the name.
You are so making that up!
Wow, nothing gets past you! You should be named "KissMySmartCookie"!
I would never pretend to be 1/10th as smart as mr. cookie... but that was just ludicrous. (sp)
Good story, though. Maybe I'll steal it.
Hmph - like I'd insult your intelligence by trying to pass off the Japanese as owning reserves in Washington?!
(Gotta admit, I was LOLing at, "What are you yaki-ing about?")
Cookie seems so dandy...
and MidnightDolphin is intriguing..
hmmmm
i intrigue you fido? is that good or bad?
