One handed or one fingered?
And what's/where's "Stone Cold"??
ETA: You can't get on your high horse about me, Mister "Why Take Care Of My One Good Knee When I Could Just Injure Both Of Them?"!
Well... my other knee was feeling fine. PLUS I went to the doctor.
Cold Stone... as in Cold Stone Creamery. One of those places with ok ice cream, but then they add all this stuff to it. It's SO good. And I heard that because of the mix of ingredients, they actually have negative calories, so you don't gain weight.
Cold Stone Creamery.. wonderful ice cream joint
:)
not Stone Cold
(As in Stone Cold Austin, the wrestler, right?)
Holy cow, you really WERE straight once upon a time!
FINE, I'll go to the doctor, DD. Only because I need a prescription for Tylenol-3. But I don't want to file WC because I've got my priorities and rationales screwed up like that. But I do need to get this checked out.
I'm glad! I can understand about the WC... but getting it checked out is important for your own well being.
Hey, I know who Stone Cold Steve Austin is... and I was NEVER hetero.
Go get it checked out Tiff... godforbid something major happened. Feel better.
The scary thing, Undi, is I totally did - my foot got stuck in some plywood planks! And when I woke up this morning, I guess they were swollen from the amount of standing I had to do -- I was fatfatfatifooted! Time to go on a footsie diet!
DD, really?? I only know who Stone Cold Steve Austin is because of a guy I used to date. The ugly underbelly of...er...professional faux-wrestling...is something totally foreign to me!
So yes, I'll get it checked out. I didn't mean for the thread to revolve around my injury - it was just to comment on what a crappy day it was yesterday.
How are you guys? Did yesterday and today go well? (Keep in mind that misery loves company!)
Jane, are you telling me you totally skipped through the posts I had on Idol and this thread in the middle of the night when I got home?? *hmph*
Uh, hello miss leviathan! I expect to hear such traumatic things directly via pm! I am wagging a finger at you~ not the pointer either!
My day yesterday sucked... but you skipped through my message so you don't know. Granted, I didn't get injured or anything... just was at work for 16.5 hours yesterday, and fell behind in my packing schedule. And today I'm totally dragging.
Maybe I should postpone my move... *ponders*
Another uncut season after alleged "tryouts". I'm going to f-ing attack someone. There cannot be close to 40 people on the girls soccer team. o_0 I want my old coach back and a team of like 17 people who can play and know the rules. DIE. And I'm not f-ing fund raising for my uniform again, I rather just pay for it. No more CANDY!!! There's going to be issues if I'm not a starter or if our old goalie is a no show and I have to be in goal...
The snow posponed the competition I had, so I have a semi-chill evening with my homework.
Bigfoot-where are you?
thanks for checking in, hon! I hate to sound like your mother (but we already know how much I'm like her) but you MUST get yourself checked out! I'm sure you'll be ok, but you don't want to be sorry later just in case! Be a good girl now~
I was just going to bump this when I saw your thread about going apesh!t with a hammer!

Tiff, how are you feeling? Are you still sore and stiff? Did you report your injuries.
*wrings hands and frets like a mother hen*

It has finally stopped. Quiet.
Finally. Once I figure out about HK, which should be soon, I will resolve whether to move from my condo to a house somewhere.
It is time.
Beacs, I didn't report my injuries...er, I've been taking quite a few painkillers (not enough to warrant an addiction or anything). I'm holding off from going to the doctors. I've got a thing about being touched - I'm too self-conscious about my middle to voluntarily go and have it prodded by some stranger!
What makes you want to go for a house, YWIW?
(BTW, I just checked the mail and I got your gift! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!)
I have owned this place for over 10 years. I have thought about buying a house for a while, but kept putting it off because the market was going crazy, and I was not sure about the whole job thing. I have enough equity in this place to put enough down to have an affordable mortgage.
I really do need a bigger place.
I might also consider a townhouse. But, this crap of having folks living on common walls on all sides is really getting to me. That, and my two best friends in the complex moved out within the past year, so it is not quite the same living here anymore.
And Tiff, I am glad it arrived. I can now take off the sunglasses and trenchcoat when I go outside!
In that case, definitely go for a house - perhaps a cozy bungalow? We went from living in houses to living in an apartment, and I hate it - having to go to a communal area to do laundrey, having people above and below me, and next to me...I like my privacy and my own lawn!
Can't wait to start watching them. Don't know where to start!
I hope they all work OK for you.
Let me know if you have any problems.
At least I am starting to feel better.
Pride and Prejudice is already out on DVD. I did not realize that! I think I am off to Amazon to buy and click!
And, not to make you ill or anything, but a "cozy bungalow" on my side of town, that needs a lot of work, costs in excess of $650,000. That is another reason I have waited. I keep hoping that the market has peaked and will come down a bit.

When do you think they'd come down though?
Dunno.
If the prices come down, so would my place - by my condo is considered an entry level one, and it could sell for about $400,000 now. So, those that I spoke with think that my place may not fall as fast when the market does correct as those for folks moving up to a better place.
The market has finally calmed down, and is not going up 20-25% a year. And, there are some looking for a 10-15% correction. So, I have been just setting some money aside and waiting. A lot of the adjustable mortgages beging to become fully indexed in another year or so. There is a theory that because the market has not appreicated as much, that those who bought believe that the market would continue to go up will not have the equity to refinance and afford their indexed payment. I really think that the next year or so will indicate whether or not the bubble will burst.
If I move further inland, I can probably get more for the money, but I like living on the Westside.
And, I am sure the folks in NY City are just laughing saying that $650K cannot even get you a starter apartment these days.
How soon did you say until you find out something definite for HK? Have you started checking out other job prospects?
$650k for a shabby bungalow seems ridiculous unless you're in a nice neighbourhood. a reasonably new 1-storey, 2BR 1000sqft bungalow would go for about $500k here in a nice residential area here in Vancouver.
BTW, I'm so sick of the BBM v. Crash debate. And the narcissism that gets people to start new threads that just say the same thing that's been said ad nauseum. Again - "it's not always about you!!!"
I'm sick of the people replying to such threads. It's easier to just let them die and sink away, as avoiding them is almost inevitable.
BTW, Hey everybody! And just like that though, I'm off to bed. I'm a bit too young to be hanging around here at all hours of the night.
