This is my all time favorite novel; check out my signature.
I'd go with "Gonna Be Another Hot Day" from 110 in the Shade which perfectly reflects moods and tones of a "tired sleepy old town where men's collars wilted by ?12? in the afternoon and the ladies smell of sweat and sweet talcum." (Don't have a copy of it in front of me.)
I hope you enjoy the book: it is truly a WONDERFUL piece of literature.
