On tonight's (Thursday) news there was a story of how Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are in Sydney to attend the memorial service of a local media magnate.
The story then went on to talk about how much the recent gossip of of their split must be wrong, showlng footage of them being overly romantic for the cameras. The whole thing looked so obviously staged it was revolting. Blah!

How come she's still flying? Isn't she about ready to give birth in a few weeks. After 7 months doctors (and airlines) really don't want you on planes---especially for long international flights over ocean.

Posted: 2/16/06 at 8:38amWait, wasn't there a report that Katie didn't go as she wasn't able to make the 14 hour flight in her advanced state of pregnancy?

"but she DOES have an obstetrician, doesn't she?"
Tom's her doctor. After all, he knows the history of obstetrics and you don't.

LOL, Rose! Good one.
I wonder in how many disciplines Tom is schooled. He must be studying up a storm with on-line classes (courtesy of Scientology) when he's on location filming.

Posted: 2/16/06 at 3:16pmJames Packer, the son of the late Kerry Packer, is a close friend of Tom's, having attended awards shows alondside him. I guess Tom just wanted to be their to share the grief and work out how many billions he inherited.

Posted: 2/16/06 at 5:47pmIt would be an issue...if there was proof that she's actually pregnant.

I was just hoping that someone would hit him with a fish...
But the whole embrace thing looked so staged, she did not look happy when he touched her..

Would you be? Can you imagine the conversation that they had to get the poor misguided woman to Sydney?
Katie: Tom, I can't fly to Sydney. It's not advisable to fly in your third trimester.
Tom: Ok, whatever is best for the baby.
half an hour later
Tom: You have to come to Sydney. There is a report that we've broken up so we need to show the world that we haven't. We need to show that we're a couple, this isn't a sham and I'm not a homo.
Katie: Are you mad? I'm 7 months pregnant with my first child, I don't want to spend 14 hours on a plane.
Tom: It can't harm the baby. I'll bring the sonogram with us. It'll be fine.
Katie: I really don't want to.
Tom: Well I don't care. You're being paid a fortune for our sham relationship, so bitch get on the plane or my army of lawyers will make you sorry.
Katie: *weeps*

Posted: 2/17/06 at 9:01pmI've just seen the Packer service photos- Katie looks very pregnant-must have been using two pillows- with Russell Crowe reading a poem and also attended by Kamahl- a Sri Lankan Australian icon famous for his semi-religious singing and dilmah tea ads. Sounds like a hoot!

Posted: 2/18/06 at 2:25amI didn't see the service, did Kamahl sing the Elephant Song? Of course Kerrie Ann Kennerly was there she knows how to keep in with the family, who else would employ her?
