So what is everyone doing tonight? Anything exciting? All shows are dark tonight aren't they? So I guess no one is seeing a show.
most shows do play tonight.
Bringing in the New Year with a great dinner with friends and family (about 12 of us). A tradition we started about ten years ago.
well, I stand corrected. I remember seeing Ragtime on New Year's Eve a few years ago.
We have no shows at our theater. I'll be spending the evening with a good friend and family having a lovely time!
I too am cooking dinner for my two best friends, then we will probably get rowdy and go to a club.
I'm going to see a movie with my family and then we are going to have fondue. It's a tradition we started a few years ago.

A lovely prix-fixe dinner at an Italian restaurant with my hubby, and then a visit to a friend's new cafe/club to ring in the New Year!
I'm making chicken cordon bleu for our traditional New Years Eve candlelight dinner. Then we'll head down the street to a park that overlooks the city where they'll have fireworks at midnight. Then back home for some decaf coconut chai tea and cherry almond cheesecake tarts.
This is the view from the park. The fireworks are set off from the city below into the sky straight ahead.
An early dinner with my best friend and that is it. I would love to go to a show tonight but don't feel like dealing with the crowds. It is insane in Times Square. It is the one night a year I stay out of that area.
We both wish we had dates with men tonight!! !! No one to kiss this year. ;-(
I think I need to talk to Eddie about finding me a date in 2008!!! LOL!

Just hanging at the local Mecca year. They have a DJ.
Probably hang until a little after midnight. Kiss and hug everyone at midnight and get home before the drunks hit the road.
Dinner with friends & than we are off to see Sweeney .
Sounds perfect Mr. R.
My sister is having a party for all the family and friends of my mom. It gives everyone a chance to see her while she's here visiting.
I love them all - but I'd really rather be seeing Sweeney again!

I think I'm going to see Sweeney again (time number three!) tomorrow.
Tonight will find me at my friend Sarah's, playing board games, watching movies and drinking champagne.

I'm not feeling well, so you'll probably find me sitting alone on my living room cutting out the pattern and pieces for three dresses I have to crank out before the end of the week.
Tomorrow I think I am going to go to the Met live broadcast of Humperdinck's 'Hansel and Gretel.'
I gave up my traditional New Year's plans with friends in order to work. I already have a headache from the music at this party and the party doesn't start till 8:00. Kids!
I'm staying IN. Cleaning and organizing and avoiding Times Square.

I was supposed to have dinner at a friend's but I am sneezing and coughing and it's snowing like a mofo so it'll be me & the cat and a big tub of Guacamole & chips. there is a Law & Order marathon on! I won't sleep for days!
Having a handful of friends over to share some wine and treats and welcome in a much better 2008.
Happy New Year's everyone!

Have a chest cold, so I'm grounded.
"there is a Law & Order marathon on!"
LOL. I just discovered that there are full episodes of Heroes on the NBC website, so I will be catching up on the whole season tonight.
Staying in due to weather.
Just had knee surgery- so I'm home on the couch with my leg propped up watching a bunch of movies.
At a friend's house. Seeing Sweeney tommarow and sledding!
Double.
