Duvall played it perfectly, imo, and unfortunately, her hair does look unwashed now, but that was not an odd look for the time.
Well, I only saw it when it was originally release, and I still recall her dirty hair, so...

Yes, Reggie...I can still picture the face of the "head" girl who was in charge of the broom.
So, JB, you recall that stringy long hair was a late 70s thing...either that, banana curls or farah wings.
Plus, she maybe the water pressure wasnt so good at the Overlook...Jack's hair was just as greasy...

the scabby assed ghost lady in the bathtub kept using up all the hot water.
dirty hair was NOT a fashion choice in the 70s. WE were the era of "wash it every day".

borstalboy- OH MY GOD!!! That Linda Blair movie scared me to death when I was a kid. Isn't that the one when her cousin moves in with Linda Blair's family and she's a witch? Great stuff...
I also saw the Charlene Tilton movie...you are bringing back so many memories from my youth!!!
