They don't seem to make made for network TV horror anymore, do they?
Which one's have you seen?

I've seen them all. I don't agree with the list, in total. Where's Trilogy of Terror, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, A Cold Night's Death, The Woman in Black, to name a few?

Anyone remember the short-lived DARKROOM series from the early eighties? Those scared the crap out of me!

Oh, man, I remember that original NIGHT STALKER thing. I couldn't sleep for weeks after that one.

I think the list is great, though I'd flip the top three...and Louis Jourdan was a pretty sexy Dracula...wish I'd seen the unedited version.

JohnBoy...was Woman in Black ever shown in the US?

I've only seen 3 of those listed. Frankenstein: The True Story really freaked me out as a kid. Even as a child, I thought Gargoyles was more funny than scary and would replace it with It. But I would easily put Salem's Lot as the scariest made-for-TV movie I've seen.

i saw the original airing of When Michael Calls. I was a big Dan Curtis fan, and those Movie of the Week every tuesday were not to be missed in the days of 3 channels.

Seen:

Frankenstein the True Story
The Strange Case of Dr. Jeckyll & Mr. Hyde
Curse of the Blair Witch
Gargoyles (I have it on DVD too!)
Salem's Lot
The Night Stalker

I agree--Where's Trilogy of Terror (I own that one on DVD too)

There was one with Kim Darby that freaked me out as a kid, too. "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark."

Oh! And Stephen Spielberg's TV movie "Something Evil" starring Sandy Dennis and Darren McGavin, where they move to that farmhouse and she gets possessed by the devil.

Scared the CRAP out of me!

I have seen Dark Night of the Scarecrow and Salem's Lot.

They are missing Trilogy of Terror and Home for the Holidays with Sally Field and Julie Harris.

What Best, do you not like Home for the Holidays? It's a bit over the top, but it was fun to see all those actresses together. Eleanor Parker is hysterical!

re: "Home For the Holidays"

I thought you meant that Thanksgiving movie with Robert Downey Jr. and Holly Hunter, and a bunch of other people.

...which would be funny if you were calling it a horror movie!

Like everybody else, I only really remember the He Who Kills section of TRILOGY OF TERROR. I do remember the first part had something to do with twins, one naughty and slutty, the other pure and virtuous. The second one has completely slipped my mind. Anyone remember it?
