re: TRADER JOE'S LOVE THREAD.

Namo,
I am agnostic. The men on Jdate are not interested in me.
They want an anorexic waif with blonde hair.
I seem to have more luck with Latin, Italian men but am very attracted to Asian men. I love all men but am most attracted to red hair. Must be because my past loves had red hair.
More attracted to Richie Cunningham than Fonzie. re: TRADER JOE'S LOVE THREAD.
Oh, well. Now, I want Al.

re: TRADER JOE'S LOVE THREAD.

Corine,
That is the reason you have all these weight issues you discuss. You talk at length about your lesbianism and then you go in denial. Denial causes frustration and frustration causes you to stuff your face every other minute. That is probably why there are so many militant looking overweight lesbians.

Anyway.. back to Trader Joes..

re: TRADER JOE'S LOVE THREAD.

Corine, you love Asians because you love red hair? If you find yourself lusting after an Asian man with red hair I would just warn you that you're probably going after a gay guy again.

I don't care what your religious beliefs are, Corine. There are plenty of Jewish atheists. I have vivid memories of you posting in the past that you want to marry a Jewish guy. It's the cultural thing and not the religious thing. Or have I been misreading you?

And I have vivid memories about her lesbian preferences. We use to have such warm and loving conversations. And now it is all denial and denial. Now; I don't remeber her mentioning Jewish lesbians... but that would make sense.

re: TRADER JOE'S LOVE THREAD.

Namo,
I like all kinds of men. I have never had any luck with Jewish men. I don't care what he is as long as he is a nice guy.
And DAME, you really need to get off the Lesbian kick. I am not a Lesbian and have never had an interest in women in that way.
Not that there is anything wrong with that. I love men and Asian food. re: TRADER JOE'S LOVE THREAD. Both at the same time is even better.

re: TRADER JOE'S LOVE THREAD.

I've been going to Trader Joe's for over 15 years, and I love it! It's the perfect place to go to get specialty items (fine cheeses, cured meats, yummy dessert items, etc.) for so much cheaper than anywhere else. Their milk and their vitamins are much cheaper, too. So, I'll go there, get what I can, and then I do my "regular" shopping at a plain old grocery store.

Don't ever get any paper products at Trader Joe's, though. Horrible stuff. :-P

Corine;
You tell so many tales I don't know what is what. If your happy in denial.. then I am happy for you. Now go eat all the fish you want. re: TRADER JOE'S LOVE THREAD.

You probably have to have more patience than I have to make Trader Joe's work for you. It would probably be better if I had a dash of that mellow, left coast attitude of Erika's.

re: TRADER JOE'S LOVE THREAD.

Namo.. I don't know where you live.. but I do know that out here in the West all these markets have twice the amount of aisle space and shelf space that the markets in NYC have. That might contribute to us having a better experience with Trader Joes. Also.. we can get booze in our Trader Joes.. something I am not sure you can do in the east ( correct me if I am wrong)

Trader Joe's has a great multi-vitamin without iron. It makes me happy.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

re: TRADER JOE'S LOVE THREAD.

I'm confused. In Corine's first post she said she was overcharged 1.29 but later she says 3 dollars?

re: TRADER JOE'S LOVE THREAD.

I love the TJ's here. As Jane said - even when they're crowded you can usually get in and out rather quickly. Also the double charging might be a problem with your store. I've been shopping there for many years and have never had that problem. My biggest criticism is with their breads and produce. It's very humid around here and I find far too many moldy breads on their shelves. Fortunately I have a Fresh Fields across the street from TJ's and that's the best place to go for fresh produce.

re: TRADER JOE'S LOVE THREAD.

Dame, the TJ's here in NY has its own liquor store right next to the grocery store.

I don't think Namo lives here, though.

re: TRADER JOE'S LOVE THREAD.

We shop at Trader Joe's, Ralph's and Costco to get everything we need. I'm not the picky one, but my honey is. And that's fine. He's also a fantastic cook, so if he wants to make the extra effort to go to three stores, so be it.

...and of course all of this is moot for me, because I'm back on Jenny Craig again after the holidays. Hell, after the last half of 2007.

But Trader Joe's has some great eats!

Don't know what I'd do without TJs. Unlike Whole Paycheck, I can leave with a bag full of diverse and yummy food for $30-40.

re: TRADER JOE'S LOVE THREAD.

They opened up one near me in Forest Hills. Lines are pretty fast, selection pretty good, register people seem genuinely nice. Though I do agree that if you need some staples, it's not the best place to go. One thing I don't like is that shoppers get manic in there, like they're on Supermarket Sweep or something. It's a real turnoff.

re: TRADER JOE'S LOVE THREAD.

I buy almost everything from Trader Joes. It's a great place. Their $2 chuck changed my life. I love their pizza dough, it's the best pizza dough in the universe. They've got buddy biscuits for dogs that are literally 1/2 the price than at Petco. Sea Salt Pita Chips = yum. And I used to buy Brommer's peppermint castille soap from there by the case full before I developed a slight allergy to it.

I think it's interesting that New Yorkers are just now falling in love with it though, I mean, my mom used to take me there when I was a wee kid. What took TJ's so long to get to NYC?
