Traveler

Did anyone watch? The commercials had me, but the "I am innocent, so I am going to run" device lost me. So did some of the acting. I kept watching, and, when the "bellhop" from the hotel freed them, it got me back ... at least for one more episode!

re: Traveler

I was intrigued, but I question where it's going. I'm worried it's going to be another show like Lost where the writers aren't going to have any idea where the story is going and just keep endlessly jerking viewers around. It's not a premise that is going to last terribly long, maybe a season or two, before the viewers are going to need some sort of pay off.

re: Traveler

The commercial ads did look interesting. Is this a summer replacement show?

re: Traveler

I thought it had a promising storyline that got lost in all the running and running. Tom Shales, TV critic for the Washington Post, said that he hoped the actors got paid by the mile.

This show will run out of steam if it doesn't develop into something meatier than an extended chase scene week after week.

re: Traveler

doodle, steven culp was one of the problems I had with the acting. I couldn't quite buy him as the hard-nosed FBI agent.

Bluemoon, it worked for "The Fugitive."

Michelle, as I understand, it is a summer replacement originally slated for last fall.

colleen, please forgive me if I sound nasty, but, as a fan of Lost, I am tired of reading things like, "Where the writers aren't going to have any idea where the story is going." I think, ultimately, they know where they are going, while having made a few mistakes along the way.

I'm going to give it a shot, since it doesn't interfer with any of my other shows!

re: Traveler

Just a reminder, second episode (NEW) is on in 5 minutes.

They're replaying the first episode right now.

re: Traveler

I think I am giving up on this show. Bluemoon, I think you were right; the extended chase scene premise has not blossomed into anything else.

I also think that some of the acting on this show is almost laughable.

Just curious - are any other options BESIDES the boob tube considered?

re: Traveler

Is anyone else still watching this? (Yes, this means that, contrary to what I said before, I did not give up on this show.)

re: Traveler

I'm still watching -- it lost me for a couple of episodes towards the start - it got REALLY SLOW for a little bit there -- but the last two or three episodes have been pretty intense. I'm glad it's a SHORT series - I wouldn't have watched if I had known it would stretch 22 epsiodes, but I can deal with 8 or whatever this is.

uncageg, it's available on abc's website for free. That is how I watched it last night. (Tivo had already deleted it.) It is worth watching.

I watch it and I LOVE it! I am sad that tomorrow is the last episode. Last week's ending was awesome!!

re: Traveler

Oh, I didn't know that tomorrow is the last one! It seems to me they have a lot to wrap up in one hour!

re: Traveler

They do have alot to wrap up. Will it be back next year? I find it hard to follow as I get distracted easily and rarely watch a show w/o doing something else at the same time.

re: Traveler

I agree; I was trying to watch last week's episode on my laptop while ironing last night, and the "whoosh" of the steam kept drowning out the sound!
