The movie trailer's on Apple...did anyone else see this? Creepy, I'd been thinking about the story all day. I came home, and there the trailer was. Anyone else familiar with the story/project?

It's a great opera. Not sure it's work as a movie.

It all boils down to being a story about someone who holds a splinter.

Don't feel like explaining it right now, so...

Why does that plot summary sound so different from the opera I sat through (for what seemed like 12 hours!)

Dollypop, there are fifty bijillion versions. Interestingly enough, the love potion plot twist wasn't in the original version.

What about the splinter?

Ummm....I don't recall that version, unless you're alluding to something I don't understand.

I wouldn't say it's a "great" opera. It is an opera, though.

If four of hours of talking about dark and light, and singing the same interval over and over in typical Wagner fashion is "great," then I guess I'll have to rescend.

I like the music to the opera very much. This movie looks somewhat interesting. I don't like how they played "Going Under" near the end of the trailer however. It sort of ruined the entire...setting for me.

The trailer link on Apple is screwed.

I had to read it back when I was a Humanistic Studies major. I don't remember liking it all that much.

I starred in a short film called Magnetic Personality. Check it out!

Yes, what Aigoo said. I don't like trying to put modern songs in a period classic like this.

A wonderous story from the time of Arthur. I just hope they don't dumb it down too much!

Well, James Franco is gorgeous. And it looks really pomanitc. So I'll probably like it.

I am such a geek about Arthurian stuff. I have the German opera on record, I was so excited when I found it (for free!). I cannot wait for this movie.
