I was watching repeats of Twin Peaks recently and really enjoyed how stylized the show is. The women in the show seem like they are out of a sophisticated 1940s movie. Too bad that the show went downhill and ended so stupidly. Has there ever been another tv show that had such "another era" feel to it?
I loved that show. my ex and I planned our evening around that show while it was on. They don't really have that "other era" feeling but It is up there with "Wonder Falls" and "Dead Like Me" which also came to mind while I was watching 'Glee" this evening.
My husband and I got married to the theme song of Twin Peaks!! I loved that show and that music was os eearily beautiful!! lol It was cool!!

I love the music as well. As the music begins to ascend, it always gives me a feeling of redemption or a feeling like the freshness of an early morning.
I have the music on cassette! It was on one of my "themed" tapes also.

Loved the show at its beginning, but it got too crazy by its end.
"Who's that lady with the log?"
"We call her the Log Lady."
There was really only enough material for a mini-series, which is what it should have been.
Once the killer was solved it got really dumb.
I used to live in the village that was the UK equivalent of Twin Peaks: it was the highest village in England and there was a house at the top of the village (that looked like the one from Psycho) which was the HQ of an occult and mystic sect; right over the road there was an alternative medicine practice; further up the road was a pub frequented by the local mafia where there were regular, if infrequent, murders; and if that wasn't enough the British National Party (fascists) used to hold Summer camps there.
I didn't stay very long.

They oughta do a reality show on that place, Scripps!
Sounds as crazy as the fictional UK village in the movie Hot Fuzz.
