Pixar has another sequel to one of their films. "Monsters In. 2" will be released on November 16, 2012. I hope the plot is good. I enjoyed the first one alot.

UPDATE: See post below. The film will be a prequel instead and the film has been postponed till June 2013 due to the success of Pixar films in the summer.

I'm not sure what could happen since the first one ended very nicely.

Unless Boo's grown up and has to deal with real world problems, but I'm not sure how that would involve the Monsters, Inc gang, because things are happy and laughing over at Monsterville, or whatever it was called.

Either way, i'm very excited to hear this news. Monsters, Inc. was one of my favorite pixars.

I really hope they do a sequel to "The Incredibles." It's my favorite Pixar film.

There's already a built in The Incredibles sequel with the baby. There's also room to explore the characters now.

Also, the Incredibles should be rereleased in 3D. I know some guys here hate 3D movies but it would be awesome!

I'm also against a Monsters, Inc. 2.

I think the first one was wrapped up quite well and left the characters all in great places. I always thought Pixar knew better than to produce a sequel without anywhere to go in it.

Toy Story and The Incredibles both have plenty of room left in them for the characters to experience further adventures. Here's hoping for another Icredibles movies.

Apparently the film is not a sequel. It will be a prequel. Here's what it will be about:

"The film is a prequel that tells you a little bit about how [Mike and Sully] first met, attending Monsters University,” Hollis told theater owners gathered in Las Vegas on Tuesday for their annual CinemaCon convention. “Obviously everybody knows at this point Mike and Sully are amazing friends — the best of friends — but as it turns out, in this story, that wasn’t always the case. From the moment they met at university, they could not stand each other. This story takes you through the ups and downs, and how they overcame their own differences"

Now it has been postponed till June 2013 due to the success of Pixar films that are released in the summer. "With the tremendous summer successes Pixar has had, it's the perfect window for Monsters University. At the same time, we're thrilled that our momentum on Reboot Ralph will allow us to get the film to audiences much sooner than expected."
