I am finally sold! I have been enjoying it every week, but last night it finally clicked for me. While I have been completely taken with America, it was Vanessa Williams who finally won me over to the show completely.

In the scene in the conference room with Daniel and the photographer, she had two simple lines that were brilliantly delivered. The first was, in response to the Lawrence of Arabia idea, "I don't even know what that means." The second was her questioning Daniel: "Did you gesture at me when you said Kwanzaa?"

I howled at that one!

So did I! She's perfect for this role. And my God, the woman just gets more and more beautiful.

The writing has still got to be sharper. Twice last night, the boss said (paraphrasing) "There are some secrets you don't need to tell." WE GET IT ALREADY.

In addition to all that you said, DBilly, the blond girl made me howl, as well. This show is fun!

The "Kwanzaa" line was a classic! Along with "No..it's Ho-la. There's a "H"!"

I also liked Wilhemina's line about snow being the magic blanket that covers everything. It was actually a touching moment.

This show wasn't orignially on my "must see" list, but it's so different from everything out there, that I'm really enjoying it.

That was actually a rather nice addition to the show---allowing a sympathetic layer to show on her character. I LOVE the campiness that she is having with the character, but that was indeed a nice moment at the end.

Last night was the best episode of a comedy on ABC in quite awhile.

The Kwanza line was fanatastic.
The Hola line was hysterical.

I also loved:

"Why don't you offer them some flaun"
"Whats flaun?"
"Its delicious custard"
"Ooh. BRING IT!"

My favorite part however was watching Daniel try to get Wilmahemia to put on the antlers and the Rudolph nose. I adored her snow line, it will most likely be one of my away messages when snow begins to fall.
