Picturetaker- I totally remember her in that! And if my memory serves me correct, Susan Egan also had a supporting role in that movie.

The show is pretty good. Perhaps a bit like The Devil WEars Prada.

Well, I sort of think the point of the show isn't that she's hideous, but that she's so unlike the standard view of what perfection is supposed to be at her workplace, she's considered "ugly".

And Anne Hathaway is NOT a size six. So, really, this is more realistic casting.

I love it (or at least what I saw of it)!! I didn't realize it was an hour long. I only set my VCR for a half hour. It really is Devil Wears Prada-esque.

I watched it but found it rather...dull. For such a quirky character it all seemed stilted and formulaic. I wish they would pep up the dialogue.

Or maybe I'm just spoiled by all those years of Joss Whedon and Crew shows.

I had a feeling I would like this show, knowing how much I like America Ferrera, and I definitely enjoyed the pilot episode. I think it was just unfortunate that "The Devil Wears Prada" came out earlier this year, because it makes the concept of the show seem unoriginal.

I really enjoyed this show last night - it was very engaging, well written, and well acted. It is definitely a carbon of "The Devil Wears Prada" - made for television. I hope the quality of the show stays high - there aren't many terrific shows on the networks these days.

I loved it too! Thursdays are awesome. Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, and Six Degrees? Love it!

P.S. It was even cooler because when I saw the tour of Smokey Joe's Cafe, it said this guy was going to be in Ugly Betty, and I saw him!

I really liked this show. It was kind of predictable...but not in a bad way.

I am torn though because eThe Office is on at the same time!

I loved Ugly Betty.
America Ferrara is fanatstic.
I loved her.
That scene where they made her put on the model's outfit was so humilating.

I enjoyed it enough, but it seemed a bit too homogenized and predictable for my taste. Of course you can’t really judge a show by the pilot. Time will tell. It definitely has potential. I just hope it doesn't run out steam too soon. It'll all hinge on the writing and character development.

But the show is based on "Betty La Fea," which is a Colombian sitcom. I'm pretty sure it precedes "The Devil Wears Prada."

I watched an episode of Betty La Fea in my spanish class and I also watched this. I have to say that this version was more entertaining than the spanish one.

Predictable and way too much like "Prada." Not sure it will much storytelling legs after a season or two.

I was rather offended by the UNDER THE DESK scene, which occured very early on. A h*mmer in the 8 o'clock hour? I'm no prude, but that was a bit uncalled for on a network show at that early a time.

I accidently watched it, after deciding earlier in the week not to, and I LOVED it........

my God singing.....like BJ's don't exist and of course NO teen has ever heard of them......this country is WAY too puckered
